There should be overtime to Warzone Assault

It feels like I can count far too many moments where my team is just inches away from taking over a base in WA when suddenly: The countdown hits zero as taking the base halted at the last few seconds because just one of the defenders managed to get in and block the process. It would be nice if they did what Bungie did with Halo Reach’s Invasion by adding overtime when there’s attackers in the base. If all attackers are pushed out for atleast three seconds, game over. I understand that starting at six minutes should be more than enough, but to those of you who play WA often, you know that the six minutes drains pretty quickly in the heat of the moment.

Or they could make OT like ten seconds or so, I know what you mean though.

Nah, I’ve had too many times we’ve only just defended the core. I like 6 mins.

The core makes sense to end at the six minute mark, this would be just for the first and second bases.

You’re either a complete tool or a halo 5 baby if you think the fact 343 taking out something that’s been in halo since the release of online multiplayer is the right call. There should absolutely be some sort of balancing in capturing in wza. 7 captures to1 defender shouldn’t HALT progress. If you’re mid cal, there should be a small amount of overtime. Defense is the easiest position in wz:a. If 10 seconds of ot will break your game, you might want to consider a different game type.

I have never had an issue, it’s pretty clear a few minutes in if the attackers are going to get the base or not, so it rarely matters the time limit. Very few games come down to seconds, and even then, if you give an overtime you are just making it unfair for the defenders who fought so hard to constantly keep someone in their base.

Otherwise, adding in more time for the attackers might as well just make the game 6 minutes where you only have to attack the home base.

Hopefully it’s considered to add in overtime in Warzone Assault. It takes about 30 seconds to capture a objective uncontested with a lot of attackers inside. I already give up at the last 45 seconds of a match, especially if there’s no progress made yet. At that point, the defenders just need to contest and delay the capture by only seconds in order to win.

5 seconds of overtime if the capture is under 5 seconds.
