With this game seemingly being made with the intention of being able to please any halo fans, and being so malleable with the settings seen in the customs menu, I really think there should be more than one social 4v4 playlist.
The main reason I’m writing this is because I’ve been hyping this game up for months, and I love it. However, I got my friend to play some games with me yesterday who played some halo, but not to the extent a lot of us on here do. The AR-Pistol Meta was just not a welcoming experience for him, and it turned him off the game a bit.
For competitive players like myself, the AR-Pistol Meta isn’t exactly satisfactory, and for the less familiar players, the viability of the AR-Pistol combo makes other sandbox weapons unattractive. Like, why would I trade my AR for a needler when my AR-pistol combo is reliably more accurate and lower TTK at the same ranges?
As a player that routinely succeeds in this meta, if I’m in a competitive match with the current social settings, I’m probably not trading my AR-pistol combo for anything other than a greater precision weapon or of course a power weapon. I don’t care about needler/ravager/disruptor pistol/etc. And that fact has been frustrating to newer players.
There should be an AR-only start playlist, a BR-AR start playlist, etc. The player base is enormous, it can withstand a few segmentations in the unranked playlists.
