remember in halo 3 when you could unlock stuff as elites and be them freely in multiplayer? and even some in reach, i think they should bring that back or at least let us be Prometheans or something

I very much doubt that they’d let hinge-heads in the S-IV program much less willingly let them anywhere near the Infinity.
And if they did, I start being a team killer by splattering any that I see.

i know because spartan IVs always kill other Spartans thats why they have to train

You generally have war game simulations with your allies, not your enemies.
Too risky. Someone always forgets to swap out the live rounds for blanks, and then there’s drama.

Well I understand its a simulation, But cant they just simulate that an opposing team are elites in the simulation?

I try. These forums are filled with so much anger, and so few fan fic posts about Miranda’s love for Arbiter, whose name was… if I can remember right (why can I even remember this at all?) Dove?

Some of you remember what I’m talking about.
I agree we should have elites in game but have some lore behind them, like they are AI controlled or something. Plus this is a war vs an alien race. i would want my army to know how to take down the enemy alien then take down a friendly human spartan.

This. In canonically makes sense to have elites.
Plus I like shooting through their big stoopid heads in snipes.
Hopefully in Halo 5 we’ll get to play with them again, so long as the story line will bring back the Arbiter and his Elites.

Seriously, Firefight always seemed like a sim, 343 could make the excuse of “war games is sim training in general combat, Ops are the real thing against the Covies, and FF is sim training against Covie forces”.
I think i want to play as a Knight other than an Elite!!

halo 3 elites were the best ever
I’ve always held that it makes no sense that Spartan IVs would be training against simulated foes that may never come back (Flood) rather then simulated foes who are a current threat (Elites).

That actually does not sound like a bad idea. It kinda makes sense. All 343 has to do is find a way to implement it into the game with a dlc or something, and add some sort of story to it. Kind of like how Spartan Ops is set 6 months after the campaign. Maybe they could say it was a ‘secret’ project that the UNSC was working on?
we arnt at war with all Elite im sure infinty wouldnt mind let the Arbiter and his lot aboard.
Maybe even enhance them like the spartans and stuff
