I love Warzone, and I love grinding with my company to get the Achilles armor, but there is an epidemic of full teams that will camp a team for kills and not try to destroy the core which results in long drawn out games where nobody on one team is having fun which leads to a lot of people quitting the game and it makes things worse. The easiest way to fix this is to make it possible to submit a vote to surrender after like the 10 minute mark. Something similar to what Smite does. Then if the majority of a team wants to surrender the game ends.
lol no.
man up.
noone asked for a surrender button as much as this community compared to past halos.
if you are afraid to get banned for quitting, then don’t quit.
Why do you have to play Warzone to grind Spartan Company commendations? Unless it’s for the AI ones, you can just play Warzone Assault or Arena modes.
Noooo way. There are ways to remain individually successful while being camped.
lol you have a surrender button it’s the quit button
I don’t believe in the surrender/forfeit option. What I have proposed is that if 50% or more of the team quits, the game should end. I was in a game were 10 players quit.
This idea for a mechanic in WarZone would be extremely hard to pull of because not everyone will have the same mind in surrendering and the bosses can be a real game changer but one benefit of this is that it will discourage quitters.
No, stop whining and fight back. Use your REQs.
Thats stupid
NO
It’s been talked to death on here. The teams are gonna tell you “man up, get good”, everyone else agrees with you that we have a problem, but we can’t fix it. It really is up to the teams to just finish the objective when they have the chance, but that isn’t going to happen. 343 doesn’t seem to care, obviously the full team spawn killers don’t care, seems the only people who care are the casuals who just want to play in Halo 5’s only casual mode. I don’t see anything changing except casuals either going into arena or just moving on.
Deal With It.
yeah lets also give the team that is being killed at their core unlimited REQ points and every gets a free oni mantis! but if those don’t bring the game back there should be a surrender mode :(((((
no really, it’s nobodies fault but yours for getting annihilated that badly. This happens to me once every week, so im completely fine by getting pushed in my own core for a whole game… implementing a surrender option is such a sad idea. It rewards players for being bad and hurts players for being good.
(don’t get me wrong, i don’t respect what full 12 man teams do when it comes to core spawn killing, and am generally opposed to 12 man teams in general) but dang, implementing a surrender system is like a slap to the face for 12 man teams. Like telling them to not go to their full potential or they can’t get the most out of a match, or to solo queue.

Exactly. People think that there is only one way to play Halo and that is hardcore, but believe it or not there are people that just want to play casually.

I think this is an exaggeration. I don’t see how this rewards the team that is losing. There are no casual modes in Halo so Warzone is seen as that mode. Some people don’t have the time to play hardcore and right now it is impossible for them to enjoy Halo. The hardcore crowd (which is most of the people on this forum) are actually a minority and if Halo/343 doesn’t make the game accessible to the casual crowd then the population of the game will drop significantly and the game will suffer because of it. This has never been an issue in previous games because there have always been casual game modes.
The only solution is to give an incentive to destroy the core, like more REQ points and XP, otherwise there’s no point in it.
I feel like there should be a mercy rule added in. If one team dominates the other team in a very short amount of time the mercy rule should take into effect. This shouldn’t count for Warzone mainly and possibly as a option available for Arena modes.
It would still count as a win/loss, but it quickens up the pace of the game. The winning team could get a extra reward for dominating and the losing team doesn’t have to keep being punished for games that are obviously one sided.
I think they should limit fire team size. Yes, it’s a blast to have 12 on a team but realistically 12 people aren’t all talking anyway, it’s just callouts mainly. Limit it to 6 or 8. You can still jump into BTB with that size, and 6 would really reduce the ability of one team to steamroll the other.
Everyone here either complains that they have to deal with it and man up. But when they are on the receiving end and the enemy team takes no bosses, you realize that they just plan to kill your team a 1000 times and wait as the timer goes to one hour of constantly dying. And I dont think it would be a good idea to surender whenever you like. Do it like LoL, 20 minutes into the game, you can vote 8 outta 12 to surrender and when tou do, you are given just a less reward instead of staying in the game.
Quitting is not surrendering. It is quitting ad the game goes on. And if you quit, you risk banning…and stupid people complain why the banning is too much. Surrendering saves people from that. They dont want to go against an OP team that spends REQs with real money. They just want to have fun out on the field. Not in their base being dominated by a desperate team in their base. Sometimes im in that team… But I still feel bad thst the opposing team has to go against the winning team. So adding a surrender option 20 minutes into the game will stop that. If less than 8 agree, surrender wont occur.

Exactly man. I don’t quit so right now when I get into one of these games I am stuck there to the end. I have a positive win loss ratio in Warzone but it still happens. When I am on the winning side of one of these games I always go after the core and try to destroy it.
“We’re not out of this yet. We can still destroy the enemy core!”
