There’s no way players can be that good

So there’s been players that have like 19-22 kills and only 2-4 deaths. There’s just no way someone can be that good. They’re either cheating or just that skilled. When they’re on the opposing side, there’s no guarantee that someone could win against them. It’s like they have an unfair advantage over teams going up against them. 343 can’t expect us to compete with highly skilled players like they expect it to be easy. I don’t know if they can have us go against players of equal skill level. I just think that some players out there are just too good, and that’s not going to be good for the average halo players who just want to enjoy the game or complete challenges instead of feeling the need to be competitive.

I don’t know - I’ve had a few of rounds like that myself and I certainly don’t cheat nor am I that good.

Watch some of Lucids gameplay and tell me if you have the same opinion.

They CAN be that good, Halo is over 20 years old dude, you know how much practice some guys have been able to get before ever even having played Infinite?

It’s a PVP game, odds are you’re going to run into players that are better than you, even with perfectly balanced matchmaking. You’re just gonna have to learn deal with it, there’s no shame in losing a game.

Yes it’s possible if you are matched against very poor players. This occurs most often in BTB where you match against 12 other players of varying skill level.

That’s kinda why most montage makers love using BTB or FFA to make montages. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Even I as an average player, do occasionally go on a good streak and get 20+ kills with only 5~ deaths. That’s like the absolute best day for me, when the stars align and I’m 0 tilt, 15ms Ping, no Desync.

20 kill games have been there since halo 2 days, but the 2-4 deaths is suspect. The 30-4 games are the ones that get me riled up.

Every one has that one game where everything lines up in the universe and have a great game it doesn’t make them great plus it’s those games that keep you coming back for more

Even the best montage makers like Mint Blitz have bad games. If you manage to deny him any long range sniping weapons, his score sucks. (and he even leaves matches like that)

It depends on the gamemode. Ranked, slayer, one player going 25-2, very suspect.
Quickmatch, objective gamemodes or BTB objectives, no problem.
FFA, not possible, if you face at least a few platin ranked player.

Anticheat had same opinion lol then he posted a tweet and they unblocked him

Im not saying he is a cheater tho
I just want everybody to keep that detail in minds

Yeah but what are the odds of you getting Matched with someone like lucid if your gold or plat? I know the population is small, but C’mon. Now they could be running a smurf account is always a possibility.

It’s very possible for a number of reasons. 1) Halo is 20 years old quite a lot of us having been playing since day one or for the most part of that 20 years (for me 14). 2) with SBMM being used through out the game even on social it can create situations where a high ranked player when in social will be put in your match. Or what happens with me is, take 2 weeks off the game and then come back. Your SBMM drops and puts you with low ‘skilled’ players and then the skill gap means you get 20+ kills with very little deaths.

The match making sucks imo. Even if it does find people with similar MMR - there’s no telling if everyone has the same ping, gets the same performance on their machine (yes that does matter - I am like a platinum on my pc, onyx on series X - it’s a HUGE difference for those who don’t know), people have bad games, have random distractions, the teamwork factor (this halo is very team based) - you can still get lopsided games easily.

I’d say the MMR curve changes too much too based on playing with my friends, we’ve all played 500+ games…shouldn’t that be enough to know where to put us…and our team MMR will change 200+ points per game, up to 500-600 points on the night…600 points is a jump from gold 1 to diamond 1 for example - that’s a HUGE jump.

Going off your title knowing Halo has championships, tournaments or whatever it’s called. Your title would be incorrect.

If it’s MM I don’t know what can actually be done because Destiny has the same issue with MM and the same topics have been brought up for years.

I hear what you’re saying, and it’s likely down to 343i’s broken skill based matchmaking system.

Here’s how it works for me. I play a game and do incredibly well.
Next game I’ll have 3 teammates who are completely useless and go 2 to 12.

I’m a previous Onyx player, and it makes me feel God awful at the game when I can barely do anything due to the abysmal aim assist, awful desync and terrible teammates.

The game actively punishes you for playing well and removes the ability for you to play with friends. Oh, I’d love to play with my gold to platinum level friends, however when I do they get paired against the pro’s I’m having to face.

I can’t even play fiesta casually due to this broken system, and the only reason I even play the game is because of the weekly challenges.

Lately i have been matched up against people who have played 20 to 25 games and have gotten 3000 points. A butt load of kills snd maybe 2 to 3 death for themselves. I have been going in and looking at their stats and other info on their playing in other areas. No way are they that good. I dont care what any one says. Im now recording when i play and their performances. It just is not adding up. I am recording to show something is not in these match ups. And another thing how are people keeping their shields completely white and never losing their their shield power? How? And it ranked they are putting Onyx up against brooze 3. How is that fair. Somethings are not adding up in this new season. Documentation and record everything so you have proof to back up what your talking about . Thank you

They didnt specify ranked so its very possible.

In H5 and MCC, when I get 20+ kills and under 5 deaths, I can usually tell it’s because I know the mayor’s advanced traversal routes, and the other team isn’t quite at the same knowledge level. When you can move around the map freely, you can pretty much do whatever you want in a game.

But in Infinite, I feel like games I’ve gone 20+ kills and very few deaths is literally just ping dependent. It’s usually pretty easy to tell when you have a much better connection to a server than your opponents, and it probably just sucks for them

They play alot of matchmaking an are talented at PvP.
if your atleast Gold or Platinum When playing Halo infinite on Legendary or Heroic especially with Mythic or Thunder skull on the Onyx ranked player has the potential to be more skilled then you at PVE If they played as many hours of PVE or campaign! it’s the same game. There is a huge gap between Normal an Heroic difficulty. I feel invincible on Normal an can normally just run around in the open an disregard using cover or shooting for that matter. This game doesn’t say Heroic is Cannon or the way it’s supposed to be played so maybe Normal difficulty is cannon for this Title.

I had 19 kills & 2 deaths the other day & i’m just an average player. Most likely wasjust matched with less experienced players.

It’s entirely possible, can’t just assume someone cheating as could well be legit player.

Unfortunately cheaters create things like this where it can be good players get tarnished from there cheating :-/
