There’s no easy fix for the store

I mean yes some fixes are good in theory but it’s not that easy when it still has to be a store

Sure a price drop here and there is nice but too much and the store wouldn’t need to exist (and let’s keep the ‘just remove the store fix out’ cause that’s not a fix that’s a suggestion)

Now earning the credits that can be done after the performance xp is added but there’s the question of how much for loss and for wins?

Like I said ideas for this kind of issue are needed just try to make sure it’s logical and not what the mass says

There actually is a fairly easy fix, add a new set of challenges that rewards credits instead of XP, then cap those credits at 1k a day so players can get what they need over the course of 3 to 4 days.

I think the biggest issue is the prices, and that pretty much any decent customization requires you to spend money. If there were some decent customization without spending money, especially if it involves things like achievements, and prices were down to at least half, then you’d have a lot less complaints, and I’d wager more people buying.

Also, colors should be free. Charge us for how we can apply those colors (like in that one thread on how to improve coatings). Charge us for new textures. But basic color customization, even Halo 1 had more options.

What do you mean? I feel if they cut the prices in half, they would make 10 times as much and there was still a need for the shop to exist.

See, I don’t want to buy things in the shop, because I know I’m getting ripped off. People don’t like the feeling of getting ripped off, even though, they technically could afford it. Knowing you’re getting scammed or cheated is one of the worst feelings. So people won’t buy stuff.

I see maybe 2 or 3 people a week who wear something from the shop other than the HCS skins. Haven’t seen a single person wearing Soldier armor from last week. I have seen ONE Anubis helmet.

Holy hell. Maybe the shop makes them money, but I don’t see evidence of that in game.

I agree with this sort of thing. And it’s not like it would stop whales from spending cash and not earning. People who maxed out the battle pass day one are proof that people can and will pay to skip the grind.

$10 a week? $520 a year per player, currently there’s at least 100k players who logged on today on PC alone. Potential $52,000,000 in lost revenue.

No man. I know you mean well and want better, but the “free” money thing needs to phase itself out unless there’s something logically quantitative backing it up. It’s not viable.

No, 1K credits A DAY. Not a week, re-read my post. Also the only things that need to be phased out are Free 2 Play garbage and microtransactions AAA devs, especially AAA devs owned by Microsoft DO NOT NEED THEM.

That must be why almost every other major free to play title gives the player in store credits for progression and for buying the battle pass, because it’s not viable.

Remove the store. Make multiplayer paid.

IDC what anyone says. It’s either this way or the highway

I also think they should cut the prices in half, but at the same time I feel that if they made the shop similar to the marketplace on Warframe where everything is available to get at any time then 343 would make way more money off of us. I know it probably wouldn’t be a simple fix to incorporate the second bit, but I do think it would be a great alternative to these daily rotating bundles.

I got a new invention. A brilliant way for 343 to make money of us.

It’s called(say it with me now). Ppppaaaaiiiiidddd multiplayer.

Such a crazy and wild concept. I know.

Gears 5’s store is pretty good now. 343i should learn from TC.

To me the answer is simple, stop selling everything in bundles, implement full cross core customization and stop treating duplicate items as separate. The shop should be a persistent catalog, meanwhile bundles should be temporary bundles of stuff you can buy individually, but at a slight discount. Weapon and vehicle skins should be grouped together by faction instead of individual weapons and vehicles, so for instance if you buy a UNSC weapon skin it will work on all UNSC weapons. Emblems should not be broken up into multiple items, there is no reason a vehicle and weapon should have 2 different listings for the same emblem. Cross core customization would also add more value to armor and coatings as well.

As for prices, I think $5 for helmets and model swaps for weapons and vehicles, $3 for shoulders (both together, not sold separately), chest pieces, and coatings, and finally $2.50 for basically everything else.

The easy fixes are half the prices and don’t have every item be limited. Don’t make items limited. Just introduce new ones every week. Special Holiday ones I can be fine with being limited to a week or two, but not normal items.

Lmfao in that case you have no case.
