There really is no pleasing you people

Every time I go on these forums, it is nothing by crying and -Yoinking!-. It’s like nothing 343 does is good enough. First of all, we could easily not even have Halo 4, Halo could have ended after Halo 3 or even Reach, but 343 was formed to continue the Halo franchise. The least you can do is show some gratitude for that.

Secondly, this game is far from the “abomination” that you make it out to be. Just because it isn’t exactly 100% flawless doesn’t mean it is garbage. 343 said that messed some things up, but they will fix it. Just have some damn patience. I know today’s generation of gamers has the attention span of a fly, but trust me, be patient.

Now, there’s a difference between having constructive criticism, and whining. I don’t mind reading the posts that have criticisms for Halo 4, as long as they’re well thought out, and provide facts. Most of what I see, however, are childish rants where people are just crying because the game isn’t the way they want it to be. If you’ve got some feedback, don’t nerd rage all over the keyboard and press enter. If you type out a well organized post highlighting your criticisms in a mature way, there is more of a chance that 343 could read it and respond. They are not going to respond to “OMG Halo 4 sux Im done wit this!!!11”

I guess what I’m trying to get at is: Cut 343 some slack. It is their first game, and they had big shoes to fill when Bungie left, and for the most part, they’ve done a good job. If you remember, Halo 2 received a ton of criticism (Halo2sucks.com) before a TU was released. Same goes with Halo 3 and Reach. Now, these games are basically given God-status, even Reach. Well, maybe not Reach, but it’s getting there.

I used to go on these forums because it was a place where we could just discuss Halo. Now it is nothing by crying and moaning. I’m not saying you can’t be critical of Halo 4, but I’m saying crying and being immature brats won’t get you anywhere.

So, with that, go ahead, insult me, call me names, whatever. Chances, are, I won’t be coming back here for a while. The immaturity of this community isn’t worth coming back for.

TL;DR: Quit whining, be patient.

People who complain about complainers are no better than the complainers themselves.

This is your opinion nothing more. Many of the problems Halo 4 has should of been fixed before the game came out.

> I see, however, are childish rants

Your post is nothing more than a childish rant.

> I guess what I’m trying to get at is: Cut 343 some slack. It is their first game

You act as if all the employees from 343 have never worked on video games before. All of them have extensive experience in the industry, so just because this is their first game doesn’t mean they get a free pass.

> TL;DR: Quit whining, be patient.

No person should have to wait several months after a game launches for it to be a complete product. Also your thread is very vulgar and flames many people, it will probably get locked.

What do you mean…“You people”??

The reason why people complain is that the game in its current state is not very balanced and 343 seems to ignore many of the constructive criticisms. Quit complaining about people voicing their opinions. God forbid we would speak our minds on the game forum. This was a needless thread to be honest.

Your post is a bit ignorant as the guys above me have said above, but I know what you’re getting at.

“I used to go on these forums because it was a place where we could just discuss Halo. Now it is nothing by crying and moaning.” - this describes exactly how I feel :stuck_out_tongue:

I think people should be a bit respectful, but freedom of speech applies here and Halo 4-purchasers have every right to voice their opinions, thoughts, and concerns. However, I am disgusted by the fact that these forums are a mess and a clutter of complaints in a countless number of topics. Sure, many players do not like Halo 4 but honestly, there are people who DO enjoy Halo 4 too. And when you’re going to point out something wrong with the game, at least be constructive about it instead of writing one sentence like “this game sucks. lol you suck 343.”

Do we really need 100+ “Nerf DMR or Boltshot” threads? I think it would have been a lot more organized if there was just one mega thread for it instead of multiple ones.

I was going to post a big long post here but then I read xxSarge’s post and he really covered all the bases I was going to cover.

Props to you sir, you saved me 10 minutes, hopefully I can return the favor in a future thread.

I’m sorry, I know that 343i is a new “developer”, but that’s no excuse for leaving out a local only search option. This should not be an industry standard, yet I’m still left speechless at the large amounts of videogames that leave this option out and praise to high heavens videogames that don’t leave it out.

Resident Evil 6 has local only search options, and that’s a campaign focused videogame!

The problem is 20% is usually thrown in the mindless rants because nobody here seem’s to know what constructive critism is.
Ok here’s an example I hate the halo 4 campaign, the multiplayer but I also started liking the rumble pit on the majestic dlc maps.

Also I swear there’s a lot of anti/pro halo threads these days because people are trying to accept halo 4 even though it has too many flaws but then there’s some people who go too far with the mindless hate like threatening to sell their copies, etc…

agreed, too many people assume it’s hate mail, despite being critisism

i’ve also seen a lot of lengthy posts, where the OP too time to point out flaws, and provide ways to improve, only to receive only a small handful of replies, and getting buried very quickly

however, I’ve seen a good number of mindless posts, that get a large audience, whose only goal is to shoot the OP down

life is funnah

Preach the truth brother!! Preach it!
jk

I agree. ^

With some of the things they’ve done with the story, I wish Halo ended with Halo: Reach.

Funny how the people you talk about gang together to break down everything you say to make you sound like the bad guy so they have some kind of justification for their mindset.

> Funny how the people you talk about gang together to break down everything you say to make you sound like the bad guy so they have some kind of justification for their mindset.

They don’t need to do that to justify their mindset, playing the game was more than enough for that.

and once again it will happen with Halo 5.

Considering how much rampant negativity is going around, anytime someone tries to say something positive about the game, they are immediately shot down as if they just claimed they were Jesus.

Sounds like a lot of people trying to establish their opinions as fact to me.

Too many of the complaints I read fail to accept the game for what it is and instead wish for some golden oldie days. There’s a lot to enjoy about Halo 4’s online combat. Some of us see it more easily than others. But this rage about quitting the franchise or tolling its death? Miserable hyperbole, and I don’t know how you can spin it so I see it otherwise.

hmmm…its a possibility.

Haha fair point, but some of us started playing CE college, putting us a little too close to mid-life for our liking!

I’m not saying H4 is perfect. Lord knows it has its faults. But IMHO they hardly deserve the ragequitting or developer bashing that you get on this forum.
