We all know the music the monk chant the emotional music that has weather you admit it or not Helped the Franchise become what it is today . Halo has some of the most iconic music in all of gamming if not all platforms . I ask a question why would you throw that away ? Do you really want to get rid of the music that has Defined Halo ? Dont get me wrong i am all for new music wich fitts the situation but The classic halo music must also be there . People talk on this Forum about returning to Classic Halo feel .There is no Classic Halo feel without the Classic Halo music . Here is a reminder of what you would throw away . Do you really want to throw it away .

Yeah, I’d be sad if they neglected to bring back Heavy Price Paid from Halo 2 again… Greatest Journey was a lovely song from Halo 3.

Add these to the list 
New music with a different style is really nice and cool as long as the classics are in there as well. I missed them in Reach and ODST.
Only themes and motifs should be brought back. And only a select few of the most recognizable ones.
I’m hoping that Halo 4 will lean toward the more electronic approach. Not techo, but electronic score. A good one. Think Inception (Not a Zimmer fanboy, that’s just one of the few primarily electronic scores I’ve liked). It would be fitting for the new, alien environments Chief will be in.

It might fit the seemingly mechanical enemies, but you’ve got to admit that classic Halo fits more to the art style we’ve seen in the concept art. I am all for new songs along with few classics, but I have to admit that classic Halo music seems to fit more so far.

I agree that ODST and Reach missed classic Halo music . Thank you for adding those songs to the list .The funny thing is that the list of Legendary classic Halo music could go on and on . Why would any Halo fan not want this music in Halo 4 .

No we are not talking about Reach music .We are stating Classic Halo music from 1,2,3 must Make it into Halo 4,5,6 .
It should include minor allusions at best, with some of the most prominent themes (Mjolnir Mix, In Amber Clad, Roll Call etc) making a small appearance interspersed with new music written just for the new game.
ODST and Reach did this rather well imo

I think it should be in Halo 4 more then Reach and ODST but not so much there is hardly no new soundtrack . One must remember without the Classic music there is not as strong of a Classic Halo feel

True I like the Halo Reach soundtrack but it has no place in the new trilogy . Yes the monks must return !!!
ancient, epic, alien, and monks. That’s really what they need to keep in mind, and hopefully everything will be great.
Marty McDonald isn’t composing the music. It’s confirmed, but hey that doesn’t mean that they wont keep some of the original music right? I’m ready for something new, and that’s excluding bleh Reach music and depressing ODST music.
