There is No Problem with the Prices in the Store

After thinking about it and playing LoL I was checking their prices, $10 for a tft map. That is a lot of money for something that isn’t very cool… but I have zero problem with their prices because they give me so much free stuff and opportunity for free stuff that it makes it feel not predatory… You still get tons of cool stuff from just playing. You can choose to pay for more if you want that’s fine… That’s the current issue with Halo infinite. If you naturally got cool stuff from playing the game (10,000 kills for an armor or something) AND there was options for stuff in the store then the prices wouldn’t seem so high… but right now the battlepass is kind of weak and the weekly challenges are a joke. The game needs more progression systems and opportunity to get free stuff. I personally would love to see a loot system where you open packs like in Rainbox Six or Chests in CS GO or something. I like the gambling aspect and it would be nice to get one free every once and awhile but pay for specific packs or something. My 2 cents.

How about items in the store are earnable instead of only bought. I hate the cat ears, but I’ll use it as an example.

Cat Ears $15 or 100 sniper headshots

Something like that would make sense. You can come up with millions of different ideas and 343 would still make a ton from the store.

No no no

No no and heck no

The game is free to play, so to me the franchise can charge what it wants and let the people decide… and that includes being vocal about likes and dislikes.

Only issue for me is selling pieces of armor individually and then individually selling colors for them.
Pure mobile games level.
No thanks to what we have currently AND certainly no thanks to loot boxes!!!

I would be willing to use the store IF the peace meal option currently available stayed… But the prices were basically $1.
And I mean $1.

Otherwise it has to be closer to total package full armor and weapon and vehicle and ai bundles being sold for $20 only… And then allow for customization of those full bundles that are preset by the devs… Similar to the Gears 5 store… Make full models… And then have unlockable customization for each full bundle EARNED. This way players enjoy their purchase.
I wouldn’t mind spending $10 for a custom spartan or $20 for the full set(ai/vehicles/weapons etc) if it came with further customization, tied to challenges to work towards!!!

Why are these systems not only predatory but LAZY!
AT LEAST MAKE IT COOL… WANT TO BORE ME AND TAKE MY MONEY?
Think 343i, then your purchase unlocks additional challenges to go for to upgrade your custom spartan.

Definitely no to loot boxes or anything similar. The store in Infinite might be severely botched at the moment, but at least you know what you’re getting for the price.

Guess I disagree with most people. I like the gambling aspect and I think a lot of games have it cause it works. I personally enjoyed CS GO and using boxes and being able to sell my stuff on the market if I wanted.

Challenge rewards shouldn’t also be unlockable with your wallet. While you’d know you got those headshots, most would assume that you paid the $15.00. These types of rewards are meant to be for bragging rights.

Either trolling or rationalizing their problem. Either way, not good.

@JustAlex1997 Good point. Separate the armor people earned with the armor that you could just buy. I agree.

For as much crap as the gaming community as a whole slung at loot boxes, it was only a few companies who took them to the extreme and really did away with the mechanic.

Never spent a dime on Overwatch’s stuff, CSGO lets you make money back on them, RS6 changed their system to be more player friendly, even Halo 5’s system wasn’t all that bad, it really was EA that made a bad name for them when they got their hand caught in the extortion cookie jar.

I am definitely in the “Pro-Loot Box” camp if I’m being perfectly honest. Even if the majority of the gaming community as a whole despises them (and I’ll use this argument regardless of my own stance :man_shrugging:).

They have it not because it’s good, but because it plays on peoples gambling addiction as is designed to make you buy more, like a casino. There’s been plenty of studies showing lootboxes are the same thing as casino gambling. It’s even currently a big debate in many governments on where games should have it, if it’s gambling, and if games with it should be adult ratings.

With people like this, this game will never improve
