9 maps, that is a lot for Day 1 DLC. Does that mean there won’t be that many maps for regular edition buyers?

3 future DLC post Launch so probably a week or maybe two before they are released,and the limited edition people can get it early…

That is kind of dumb, so all the DLC is already made and 343i is withholding it.

Not really they just know they are going to make DLC

They will be in the making post-launch.

Why is that dumb`?
Thats basicly a Season pass what we are getting here… like other recent games like CoD and Maxpayne3

i believe every halo game has had 3 map packs so all that is said is that it is included in the price

FUTURE DLC

Just like map packs for Halo 2, 3 & Reach, they get released months after launch. If you have the season pass, you get it for free when it comes out because you have already paid for it. You DO NOT get it early.

What people are confusing is the Limited Edition Halo 4 giving you free access to the future dlc when released. You will still have to go to the games marketplace (could be built in game)and download it, but you will not have pay for it. Since you already paid for it in the limited Edition price.
