There is a second level on Summit

I’m not sure how many people are unaware of this but there is a downstairs area to Summit that can lead to some insanely greasy defender wins if the attackers are unaware. I’ve been both on the giving and receiving end of hiding downstairs to prevent the attackers from hiding. There’s plenty of corners to hide in including in the downstairs entrance near the defender spawn and on either end of the base. If you do decide to take the easy win just make sure that you’re far enough into the base where it’ll say how many attackers are left. Just thought I’d share something I’ve seen happen a lot.

Case and point, I just lost 2 back to back games on Summit because someone was hiding at the bottom. Just wanted to raise a bit of awareness for attackers because they mostly stay at the top section of the first base.

I typically lose games on Summit because the other team won’t stop spawning scout warthogs.

I’ve been on both ends of the scout warthogs too, but they don’t always work either. If your a smart about it as a defender you’ve got a good chance at it. As for the attackers your best bet is to try to pull them out of those hogs, or shoot them out. A ghost can help nix the scouts too.

Scout hog spam is irritating. The best way to get rid of it is hop in the passenger seat if you get the chance and melee the driver. The driver can’t do anything since they’re driving and you pick up an easy melee. Just be glad that there’s no chaingun on a scout hog.

If you’re a defender and an attacker spawns in a scout hog you don’t need to worry. Attackers can’t capture a base so long as there’s a defender alive in it which is why the aforementioned hiding technique works so well on Summit. A scout hog driving in circles at the bottom shouldn’t be a threat in the slightest so long as you pay attention.

People buying Scout Hogs and constantly mowing people down in the bottom of Summit is just the lulz-iest -Yoink- ever.

This really shouldn’t be allowed. When you die you spawn outside the base but spawning a vehicle negates this and that’s really dumb. Their vehicle should spawn outside.
