I’m sure this has been buried beneath a mountain of other topics but the best way to handle this is to simply delay campaign.
Those who want it co op ready have valid arguments. Not wanting anything spoiled. Playing it the first time with friends. YouTube is terrible for that. And expecting a large group of people to stay away from the strong armed YouTube is insane. However yeah it is a little unfair to single players
But leaving MP open and on schedule Is the real smart move. It’s sad there’s no forge but I’d rather it be polished. I read an article that they are in talks to delay again but I hope it’s just campaign. I played the flight and MP was very enjoyable. If there’s a FF available it should be able to hold people if the stick resources to the co op.
No matter what suggestions are giving there will always be someone upset. I know we’re all itching to play campaign, but I’m sure MP can hold us over. If there are story expansion it will be the very thing that does aside from a battle pass.

How about, NO DELAY. The campaign is all that matters, the majority of players will play it SOLO if they have to. If 343 caters to 10% of the fans, then they can expect dreadful sales,PR,marketing, advertising, product placements and hype for releasing it after Christmas holiday season.

No delay is selfish. People want to play campaign via co-op. While waiting, the people playing solo will spoil the game for them. No delay is supporting 343i’s practice of releasing half-baked games for max profit in the holiday season. What 10% of fans, stop pulling numbers out of your butt. You’re just assuming that not many people plan co-op. Even that were the case, you have no right to say their campaign experience doesn’t matter. We all deserve to play the story for the first time without spoilers.
As a solo campaign player who rarely plays co-op, I agree. It would be near impossible to avoid spoilers for those that want to play co-op and I genuinely don’t mind waiting 3 months until we can all play at the same time. Especially if multiplayer drops as scheduled and we have that to hold us over.
That being said, I’m not sure I see it happening. Execs will want to capitalize on the holiday season with the increase in sales and it’s not too hard to see why they would really want to push the $60 campaign over the f2p multiplayer during those times.
Why can’t you just play the campaign solo like the majority everyone else? Does it really eat away at you that much to do something alone? To the point of wanting to delay the game for everyone else?
Delaying the game because “muh-spoilers” is honestly just silly. I’ve had an easy time avoiding spoilers for MANY games that I still haven’t touched. Just stay off of Halo related social media for a bit, and tell your friends you won’t be playing it solo, it’s not that hard…
I sort of disagree. It’s possible weapons that have yet to be revealed could partly spoil the campaign.

idk how you guys can’t avoid spoilers. I didn’t play Halo REACH’s campaign for a year and never had any spoilers…
A more recent game was The Outer Worlds. Waited until a few months ago to play it and had 0 spoilers.
As of right now, the majority of campaign was leaked anyways and you haven’t read that so you’re fine for a month or two if CO-OP is the absolute only way you’ll play the game.

PEOPLE WHO WANT THE DELAY SUMMARY:
IF I DONT GET THE FEATURES I WANT ON DAY 1 THEN NOBODY CAN PLAY!!! WAHHHHH
I might be remembering this incorrectly but isn’t the whole idea with halo infinite’s campaign that it will be released in chunks? so we aren’t getting the ENTIRE infinite campaign on day one but released over years to come, so it will only be the first initial campaign chunk release that will be missing co-op at launch. It makes the lack of co-op for 3 months much more bearable if this is the case as the whole story isn’t being delayed for those who will only play co-op, just the initial bit.
Personally I am happy to play the campaign solo, I am also not completely opposed to the campaign being delayed 3 months and just launching with the multiplayer side of the game, either way I am going to enjoy it.

That is a good point, all of us are probably aware that infinite’s campaign storyline has been leaked by accident in the last flight files yet those of us who aren’t interested have managed to avoid spoiling it for ourselves, same could be applied to the three months of waiting for co-op.

Besides HaloWaypoint and Reddit, there is YouTube, something a vast majority of people use. I’ve watched many Halo videos, so I’m guaranteed to get Halo recommendations from the people I watch. Plus, I actually have a life out in the real world, and I can bet I’ll accidentally overhear spoilers from random students at school.
Anyway, The Outer Worlds was a small game. And there really isn’t anything major to spoil for that game. As for Reach, good on you. But Halo Infinite is a really hot game at the moment. It’s gaining a lot of traction for featuring a sandbox driven gameplay with toned down movement mechanics from Halo 5. And I’m expecting major surprises in the game, because 343i are making it sound like they really want to “wow” us with this campaign. Maybe surprises from older Halo games.
As for the leaks, I likely avoided them because posting leaks is general taboo in any gaming community. But once the game comes out, no one will think there is anything wrong with posting everything there is about the game online. No one will remember there is a large contingent of fans waiting for co-op to drop so they can experience the story firsthand with family or friends. Eh, it’s impossible. I’m not sure what to do.
