In Infection a player can kill themselves without penalty to escape being killed and infected. Suicide needs to cause infection.

Yesterday, in a match of Assault, I had 3 noobs on my team. Alone, I managed to plant the Bomb in the last few seconds of Sudden Death. I would’ve scored but the round timed out. This; is BS. If a Bomb is planted and counting down the round timer should wait on all zeros until the Bomb detonates or is disarmed.

This is actually a toggle option in custom games, my guess is someone on the matchmaking design team forgot to turn it on.
I believe it depends on the game. I think Reach onward support suicide to zombie, but Halo 3 does not. I haven’t checked the settings in a while to confirm.
