There has to be something...But what?

Hey guys, it’s a me!
Psycho

Who am I? (I know right) don’t worry not the point.

Okay so recently got back online to multiplayer and lately my sensitivity is playing up, like uber crazy. I play with either 8 or 10 thumbstick level and that’s what I like, but every so often at least 3 times in almost every 2nd game when turning it feels as though it’s been majorly tuned down, like I’ll go from normal turning (8 and/or 10) and then it feels as though I’ve gone back down to 1-4, then if I stop turning and flick the thumbstick it’s back to normal. I hadn’t had this problem before, it’s not my controller as that’s relatively new got it about 4-6 months ago, not too sure on dates. Treatment wise it’s been great, no throwing in rage no ultimate thumbstick clicking nothing like that it’s almost a perfect controller, so I know that’s out of the equation.

So can someone tell me like how I’d go about sorting this out? Wasn’t too fussed at the start when it appeared but then it started happening during actual firefighting and 3/4 of the time I’d come out the one dying and it became infuriating.

Can anyone shed any light to this subject? If it’s happened to you and/or how you fixed it?

[EDIT] sorry if this is in the wrong place, wasn’t sure where to place it

It problably is the controller. I’ve bought three Controllers from Microsoft, Two broke within 2 months; One had the metal peice out of place, the other ended up having a joystick break, in much the same way. In my opinion, they need to do better product checking. The third one? Still my dedicated controller.

My advice? Get a new controller, a good one, from a non-Microsoft publisher. if it’s not from Microsoft, try another company than the one you use.

Were you playing a PC shooter before you came back? Because after I play PC shooters I find that my Halo look sensitivity feels really slow.

Are you sure it isn’t the controller? Try testing it with another controller, just to be sure! :slight_smile:

LoL my PC is hella old wouldn’t comprehend the speed needed for a game on it let alone shooter lol.

I’ll be sure to do this next time I’m online, cheers for the help guys :smiley:

It’s the controller. I used to have a controller where I would randomly drop my left sensitivity… Almost made me feel like I was in a Battlemech :slight_smile: (but seriously, );

Worst part is, a new controller doesn’t always fix these things. It’s 80% likely to not have a dead spot yet but not all controllers out of the box go 100% in every direction you push, they usually vary 95-100% of max in different directions.

I’m hoping the X1 controller is a good as claimed by MS because though the sticks have been getting better over the past decade and across 2 consoles, AND the Xbox controllers are almost as durable as SNES controllers, we still have a way to go to get the sticks feeling as smooth and precise as the Onza Razer (whose only problem is a lack of durability).
