I get it, we want to customize our Spartan looks. But being the multiplayer is now a free-to-play and the idea that Infinite is going to be possibly a supported support last Halo game for the next few year, microtransactions have to play a role somewhere. We are just lucky is cosmetics, but unlucky its for about every cosmetic now.
The thing is, if they are doing cosmetics for the next few years, im sure cosmetics like the recent subject (Armor coating) will be more than just “blue/green” or “white/gold” colors. Armor coating could be added along with effects now such as glowing highlights or effects.
Imagine a “black/white” but the white is a beaming highlight that glows? Or a “Red/yellow” but you have an effect on enemy deaths that only you see? I don’t know, these are just me theorizing a positive aspect. But you get my idea? It builds opportunity for 343i to create more unique designs to sell not only for armor but for gun skins, emblems, and more.
