I’m tired of seeing the “Hold X to pick up weapon”. Somebody smart at 343i needs to come up with a solution. Here’s my idea:
Tap B to pick up weapon, Hold B to switch grenade type.
The need to “Hold X…” slows down the game because you need to stop and stand on top of a weapon for a while, whereas you would be able to run while switching grenade types. Most of the time you only have 1 type of grenade anyway.
I don’t think I never need to stop to “Hold X”. I don’t know if choosing something other than “Hold X” is really an idea only a smart person can come up with.
If we change to your system we might start not liking the time between grenade switches, during battle.

Ever tried holding x before you get to the weapon? You can just run by picking it up at the same time.

No need to get hasty. I was just pointing out that Halo 3 had to Hold RB to pick up weapons.

Thats one thing that made me sad,
{press X for…} is like a halo tradition. Its like taking out the plasma grenade.

I don’t think it’s complicated, not sure where you got that from my posts.

Probably. But that said, couldn’t you change the scheme to pick up weapons with X or soem other button? I recall Reach did, but not Halo 3.

I’d think so, Halo 2 had Hold X so it would make sense for them to include that scheme in Halo 3.

Eh no problem, but once again. OP it’s not hard to run past a gun and Hold X to pick it up.

No it’s not hard. But my suggestion is better than the current system.
