There are two TU's, not just one

Remember when bs angel said that there would be two updates, one was for bug-fixes and the other was for sandbox balancing? She practically stated that in the bulletin on December. Barely anyone remembers, though, so I decided to let everyone know

Keeps this updated and on the first page so everyone can know!

Also, for discussion value, post what YOU think should be in the next TU (gameplay wise, of course).

Also, I should remind those who are saying it should come out sooner that it took Reach almost an entire YEAR to get a TU, so the rate it’s taking is actually generous.

More wait for a broken game , no thanks , I expect a game to play good straight outta the case not 6 months after

The first update should of been sandbox balancing.

Why? So more bugs can pop up? The bug-fixing was necessary, the game needed to be playable and whatnot before it could be fixed.

Guys 343 is doing a great job… Its not as easy as you think to make a sandbox title update.

You realize that there was already a glitch and bug fix title update before this latest one right? And she said that when the first one came out and she was explaining why it didn’t have any sandbox fixes. The title update that just came out IS the second one.

i dont think the game is broken, but bugs do need to be fixed  also OFF TOPIC: im seeing ALOT of modded maps in file shares, not just glitched but full on modded, and i heard that 343 wont remove those maps or ban people for it cuz it doesnt hurt the multiplayer experience. is there any truth in that? cuz some of these mods are REALLY fun to play  like the green orb mod and the teleport armor ability mod

It is to Treyarch. Just sayain.

That’s comparing apples to oranges.

Halo is an arena shooter. BLOPS II is a run around shooter. The style and format is different, plus Treyarch is more experienced than 343i (most of whom are not very experienced). Plus, since BLOPS II is just the same CoD game with the same style as the other games, it’s rather easy to fix bugs when they’re similar to previous CoD games.

You mean Halo WAS an arena shooter. Now the only huge gameplay differences it has from CoD are the lack of ADS and shields.

Most of 343 have worked on other games in the past . People there range from working on nintendo wii games to old bungie members

Not necessarily. It’s the same style, but thrown in with different things that can be removed (maybe not currently, but is able to). It’s like a stone that is covered in poo, basically, get rid of the poo and you have the stone.

Only 3 Bungie members. Most worked on different styled games, not FPS’s. FPS coding and coding of other genres are two different ways. Yeah, they use the same codes, but how to place them correctly is very different.

Yh I knew not many ex Bungie employees and when I said working on past games I meant experience wise , most of 343 arent foreign to coding and how to make a game

That man speaks the truth! Yeah, the bugs were more important. I swear that the only reason people want the DMR nerfed is because they want the BR to rule all other guns…but thats just me. I can wait for Sandbox balancing and since sandbox balancing requires careful observation over finding a bug, it better that its last.

On the conversation going on above-

Halo 1-3 was a Arena Shooter. Halo Reach and Halo 4 are class-based shooters like Call of Duty. That is an undeniable fact.

But coding an adventure game and coding an FPS game are two different styles. They don’t work the same way. 343i MAY be experienced to coding, but not in the FPS fashion.

MAY be experienced? ha! try making your own game then you can complain.

I did. I modded a Fire Emblem game from the ground up using only my computer and a bunch of tears. That was unbearable, took me almost two years to make. I’m not trying to disrespect 343i, though- I understand that they’re experienced, but not in the FPS way, and although that’s a problem, they’re getting better at it, so that’s good.

Didn’t halo 4 already have a bug fix TU that fixed the glitched walls on Complex & Haven? Along with other bugs related to both game play and Double XP.

> Didn’t halo 4 already have a bug fix TU that fixed the glitched walls on Complex & Haven? Along with other bugs related to both game play and Double XP.

As far as I know, that’s just a patch, not a TU. The version number didn’t change until a few days ago, so…
