Reminder that Halo: The Master Chief Collection has less than 30,000 players daily and does not have sufficient players to accommodate each playlist. For starters, getting rid of Rotationals is a must. I myself find them overwhelmingly unsatisfying. Team Ball, is what you would expect from a Team Objective playlist. See a pattern here?
I wouldn’t want to hurt you guys, but game-specific playlists aren’t helping either. Using the sinking ship analogy from BDobbinsFTW, I’d say that the Halo 3 playlist is just a bunch of cuterly and dinery waiting to be thrown overboard. This isn’t about nostalgia anymore, boys. This is about survival.
Here is my ideal view of the playlists that should be available AFTER Halo 5: Guardians in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
RANKED SLAYER
4v4 ranked Slayer variants across all five games. All arena maps included. Some mediums maps as well.
RANKED OBJECTIVE
5v5 ranked objective gametypes across all five games. All large maps included. Some medium maps as well.
SOCIAL SLAYER
5v5 or free-for-all non-competitive Slayer variants across all five games. Most arena maps included. Most medium maps as well.
ACTION SACK
6v6 BTB and Action Sack material. All five games. All large maps included. Some medium maps as well.
This would compensate for the low-population count, as well as improve variety in matches and would be easier to code for a ranking system having only two playlists. I just want to know why there would be any flaws with a lesser playlists, other than the obvious lack thereof taste. Having too less playlists is better than having too many**.**
