There are no multi-player tutorials

I just started playing Halo 5 a few weeks ago, and I still can’t manage to do as well as I could in some game types because there was no explanation/tutorial on how each one works. This was mainly an issue when it came to the controls and the different tricks that could be used (jumping up and holding down RB to slam down onto players. Had to learn this by having it executed on me multiple times then trying to look it up on youtube to see if someone made a video on it). As for playlists I still have little idea how prop hunt works and ways on how you can do well at it, along with a few other gametypes in the action sack playlists.
Any help or explanation towards this garbage setup is appreciated. Thanks.

No Halo has ever had a multiplayer tutorial. As for learning the mechanics of the game, your best bet is to play through the campaign. Pretty sure that the campaign prompts you to use the Spartan Abilities at certain points early in the game.

Action Sack gametypes have different, often unconventional settings to make them more minigame-ish; sometimes it’s a race-type game, sometimes there’s no guns. Generally, in Action Sack, you just have to play the game mode to understand how to do it. Trial and error. Prop Hunt specifically is a “hide and seek” game, where some people (the hiders) become “props” by getting into invisible vehicles with objects welded onto them, and try to find places on the map where those objects look least suspicious; the seekers have to run around with limited ammo and try to kill the hiders by shooting at objects that seem out of place.

As with every Halo game before, the best way to learn the game mechanics is through trial and error. You can also go into Forge by yourself and just run around alone trying out all the buttons to see what they do. Most Action Sack game modes have youtube videos about them, so if you wanted to do extra research you could. Also looking at your button mapping/control layout could be helpful.

I’d say the best way to learn the game is through the campaign’s first couple missions. They give you a decently good idea how everything works. But as Chimera said, Action Sack has unconvential game types and all these mini games have videos made on them by now so some googling will serve you well. Some people may be willing to help you out with getting into the game but that’s as good as you’ll get from the community as everyone does have their own obligations and things they want to do in the game.
