There are female gamers who play Halo...

right? I just like it when I’m playing matchmaking and I see a bunch of female Spartans. It’s embarrassing to ask if they are females and find out it’s some random guy. Not to mention hearing people trying to flirt with the “females” and get publicly humiliated when they find out the truth. Please tell me there are or else I’m going to think that everyone is creepy dude on the other end of the controller.

Is this really being asked? Yes, there are girl gamers. Or just gamers as I like to call them.

What’s so distinctive about a gamer being a different gender to you? If they’re a gamer then you should have no real problem with them.

Why do you think that girls would only ever create a female avatar? Many guys like creating female avatars, many girls like creating male avatars.

Why focus so much on genders when you should be focusing on whether or not you actually like playing with those players?

I’m female. I play Halo. Both my sisters in law play Halo with me. There are whole clans dedicated to female players socializing together in the Halo series.

I know some female players who use the male model because they dislike the female model. I likewise have run into a few men who used the female model because they liked the look better.

I prefer the slimmer model on female Spartans… I use the male model though.

Yes, there are female gamers. Obviously there won’t nearly be as much as male gamers although.

I ran into another oompa loompa playing Halo and she was female!

Lies. All lies and slander. Girls don’t play Halo, they all belong in the kitchen baking pies. I thought this was common knowledge.

Some people, sheesh.

In case it’s not obvious, I’m completely joking.

Let me just say Halo, baking and lipstick coexist in my family. Reality hurts when their male friends get their butts kicked by them.

First: if it seems weird for me to have posted this question, then you know how weirder it is of assuming something then being wrong (such is the case with this).

Second: It’s not because I’m desperate to know female gamers, it’s just that sometimes it’s tiring of listening to others in Matchmaking asking/looking for girls to add but then finding out they are asking guys. That and sometimes when looking for females who are willing and able to help out with machinima voices, it would be easier to find some.

Third: I know that there are, but I kind of also wanted to know what kind of people would respond to this question. Now I know…

Forth: Just curios of who is out there playing Halo. (Kids/Adults/Seniors/Males/Females/Statewide/Foreign/e.t.c.)

I…what?

Well, who is assuming there are no women playing Halo?

The first part may demonstrate why you may not hear much from women playing the game. All the attention and harassment doesn’t give them much incentive to talk to others.

And?

All of the above.

lol, that was funny, :D.

OT: Yes, Sepia. Their are gamer girls out there and i tend to run into a lot of them. TBH, a lot of them i play against, they are very good at the game,

Exactly.

Sorry, must be my ovaries kicking in because I have no idea what you’re trying to say here.

Technically everyone starts off as girls in the womb so… yes.

YAY there IS someone else who knows the way around the “Ladies First” rule.

Sorry but I’m just messing with you.

Messing without consent can get you tied up in all sorts of legal battles.

To answer your question, it’s just not something that really matters for a female to say. We live in a day and age where equality between genders is strived for and in result, the importance of being a guy or a gal withers. Imo, why you want to know or find it important doesn’t matter whatsoever as that’s your own personal curiosity, but yes, there are plenty of female gamers and most really don’t find the importance of sharing their gender publicly “for the heck of it”. Simple as that.

Just because somebody else is desperate to pick up ladies in Halo matches doesn’t mean you need to pay them heed if they make fools of themselves. That’s their problem, not yours, and if they complain to you for whatever reason put them on mute, leave the lobby, or just ignore them.
