My theory is that it’s going to be included in a weapon update that includes the classic shotgun as the bulldog wouldn’t be suitable for it as it’s rof doesn’t fit for default settings of infection/flood

I agree, I’m sure there will be weapons brought in over time. They don’t even have FFA right now but I have to say I’m not sure how fun it would be based on my bot tests.
That’s your theory, but here’s the reality… this game isn’t near close to being finished. We know it, they know it. They were going to sell us an empty box last year and pray that we go belly up the same way we did with MCC. Any other theory is a veil to dilute ourselves with.

Real reason is probably just drip feed. I am almost 100% certain that Infection mode is done in Infinite, they simply haven’t released it yet.

It can still be done with it. So it doesn’t need old shotgun to be released. It could be an official release Playlist.

Because it’s a F2P live service game now, Infection, FFA, Grifball, SWAT etc will all be released in seasons I assume, think of how many flood themed skins they’ll sell when infection season hits.
Rotating game modes and maps, this is how live service games are run nowadays, also means you can release your games half baked like this.
It’s because they have to drag out already made content as long as possible to delay future content while they work on new maps and battle passes, otherwise they can’t fill the gaps between updates, and I hate when devs do that

Not fun doesn’t mean I’d put it past them to put it in. You think quick play is fun right now? I’ve been wishing everyday to be able to choose when to play objective or slayer.

because its reload is much faster, so infected wouldn’t have as much leeway basically.
So y’all admit the bulldog is a better gun.
The single shell reload helps more in a pinch than the barrel reload.
