Ok hear me out… what if the coordinates, are where the second part of the “Forward unto Dawn” crash landed…(the Arbiter was pulled from the wreck in the WATER!!) And what if there is a Cortana fragment there in the wreckage that was brought back to earth with the Arbiter ? What if Chief takes that fragment back to castle base to rebuild a “whole” Cortana that has all or some of her memories, but is not her … that would also put in line the voice fragment we heard … just a thought, what do you all think?

The theory is sound. The coordinates show up in The Gulf of Guinea off the West African coast. We know The Arbiter landed somewhat near New Mombasa due to the portal that opened was over the same place as the portal that brought Chief and Arbiter to the Ark. As for Cortana, I don’t know. It seems plausible. But would Cortana have that thought process? Would she have split herself then? Remember: AI fragments don’t live as long as the full thing. And are not very smart. They only do what they were split off to do then self terminate.

Ehm…the coordinates point to an area off the shore of Somalia right? Which is on the east coast of Africa (Somalia is the north-eastern neighbor of Kenya). So your idea of the Gulf of Guinea seems to be a bit off. Also: if that actually would be the location of the coordinates it would put the entire African continent in between the coordinates and (New) Mombasa. So that seems unlikely to me.
It does seem like a plausible idea though, having to create a ‘counter’ Cortana. There might be numerous locations where copies or parts of her can be found. I wouldn’t be surprised if the part of FuD that got back to Earth is one of them, just like Castle Base on Reach and maybe High Charity on the Ark. Which would be an possibility to tie together a lot of Halo storylines. We’ll see!

Ah, friend your geography is a bit off with the Gulf of Gueine. But as you stated I did not consider the AI 7 years part. But who says the fragment is not rampant !? Maybe because of the portal hard shutdown (cortana was flying the whole ship so she was everywhere in the “FuD”) this Fragment is more like a full AI then a regular one.

I really like that idea , haveing to Stich a whole Cortana back together from all her fragments. That would be a n easy way to hit a lot of cool locations.
I suspect it’s more related to the ‘Portal at Voi’ due to the UNSC/Oni factions that will want investigate around Africa for any further clues to the Forerunners, etc…
I suspect they will find something related to the construction of the portal, which could have been submerged underwater.

lol, it’s almost like they know we’re all suspicious about their secrets, are trying to confuse us. 
Ik this is off the whole conversation but this is kinda reminding me of I love bees and I visited the site and its still up !! And the clock is still going is the ArG still going then but connected to Infinite. Ik its crazy but could some look into the website again, thats weird that its still up you know especially with the clock going still.
