In the latest community update, Unyshek informed us that we’ll be getting a 1st look at the Campaign during the Xbox Games Showcase on the 23rd. While most are very happy and excited to know what we’re getting and pumped to see the Campaign, some are wondering where multiplayer will be shown. According to industry insiders, Microsoft wants this event to have mic drop moments, leaving us really impressed. I suspect we’ll get a tiny snippet multiplayer teaser, and then someone from 343 is gonna say that the flight or beta is now actually currently live and we can play right now. By the time of the 23rd, the game will likely be 4 months away (95% likely it comes in November), and with that little time left, 343 and MS need to get the flights and/or beta out. What’d you think, can you see this happening in a couple weeks?
I personally think all these beta theories are just wishful thinking.
Someone pointed this out on another thread: the game demos for all of the indie games are that same week. Microsoft dropping an Infinite beta would completely steal the spotlight from all these games.
They might announce the beta at the event, but I don’t think it would go live at least until the week is over.
I agree with your theory. But, I believe it will be more of a stress test rather than a full beta test since there is not a lot of time left before the release date. I know 343i will have tested everything thoroughly so they never have a botched launch like they did with MCC ever again, but it is a bit concerning because both Gears 5 and Horizon 4 were broken on launch. Whatever the case, I hope we get something to play on the 23rd because even a 5-minute demo would be awesome!
I could see that happening. But I’m not so certain now given the time and resources 343i would have to dedicate to run a beta. In which case, if they did release something it would be more like a “demo” verses a beta. They could still get our feedback but it would probably be more of a stress test.
Xbox Have said that Xbox live will be like a virtual e3 show floor with tons of demos to play. This may include a snippet of Infinite multiplayer.
However, I’m not going to expect it. Especially since 343i said they’re just showing campaign, But anything is possible.

Can you imagine the feedback if we have a bunch of random games to play and no halo infinite, people are gonna be like wtf. Especially after they said they want to do a beta before release. But yea I don’t expect it.

I think we’ll get the confirmed campaign demo. On the 23rd and we’ll see more Halo at the August event for Xbox. That’s probably when we’ll get a multiplayer trailer and a beta.
Obviously it’s anyone’s guess at this point.
Only if there was an MP trailer / teaser at the end of which it says “Beta available right now”
I’ve said it on here a few times over the last couple months. I think we’re either going to get a “play it now” beta announcement from the July event (I’d been saying E3 before that was cancelled) or a server stress test 1-2 months before release.
As someone stated above, since Infinite would take away from the indie demo showcase, now I’m thinking the server stress test is the most likely.
