Thel Vadam and his role in future Halo games.

YES. I know alot of ppl disliked it, but I liked having a sorta ‘second’ campaign where you played as him and got an inside look at the covenant side of things.

I’d be happy to see him alongside the Chief like in H3 just fine, but it’d be cool to have a sorta ‘elsewhere’ campaign where you play as him fighting his own fight like Halo 2. get a better look at the Sangheili revolt ect ect.

That WOULD be a nice incentive if 343 were to do it of course.

AV4T4RG4R = Unbridled poster of the trending thread. The video response made me laugh.

Except that time, he needs more differences from Chief, not just a fancy recolored HUD and active camo.

The Arbiter is a -Yoinking!- god.

> Yeah he was awesome. Maybe he will show up in spartan ops, you never know.

Well, isn’t Jul M’dama a rival of his?

they did say that the arbiter will be making an appearance in spartan-ops and that there also might be a future update that elite players will really like. i hope they are keeping their promise.

I would really like to see a future halo sangheili game or something. because i really like that samurai/honor feel to the elites. a halo game with elites vs elites, thats awesome!

also I didn’t get why elites weren’t in multiplayer. i know its based on spartan training, but some elites are still friends, most elites have the same skill level as spartans so why cant they train together?

(sorry if my english is bad, I’m from the netherlands.)

> Is it too much to hope that he shows up as a corpse? I still fully support the “shoot Elites on sight” policy.

> See that’s funny because that was one of my biggest complaints with Halo 2. I hated the Arbiter. I kept thinking, “Why am I playing as a xeno? Why am I playing as a xeno? I don’t care about this character because he’s an alien. I will never care about this character because he’s an alien. His race as well as the rest of the Covies deserve nothing less than extinction…so why am I playing as a xeno?”

> Yeah, not too fond of having focus shift from the Master Chief. Glad that further Halo games didn’t make that mistake.

> I wouldn’t have had as much of a problem if the Arbiter’s campaign was seperate, much like how Resident Evil 4 had the main story as well as Ada’s own story that took place around the same time and occasionally overlapped with the main story.

Chief is lame. He does nothing in the cutscenes (except in Halo 2 with that bomb in space, running from glassing, and finding himself in the middle of High Charity) and his in-game character is not fun to play as.

why not just say Arbiter

The Elites no longer speak English or whatever. Thel wouldn’t really seem like Thel without his voice that we grew used to through Halo 2 and Halo 3. Dude always sounded noble and grave.

IMO 343 ruined the Covenant. They don’t look like the lanky, serpentine-like creatures that we saw for 5 games now. All roided up with dinosaur eyes instead.

If they brought Thel back he wouldn’t even look like Thel, wouldn’t sound like Thel, wouldn’t really even be Thel.
