Well the Red vs Blue video is out and from what I can tell theatre is definitely in the game (how else would they film it). What advancements do you think theatre needs to make it a better experience or make it smoother? I personally liked Reach’s, but had a problem with the fact that is not precise enough when it comes to rewinding.
So for now, I’ll try and compile a list of all the improvements needed in the Halo 4 theatre, starting with a better rewinding system:
Better rewinding system
Bring Back Party viewing (PersonifiedHell)
Record in any speed you like (trueguitarist95)
Feel free to leave a comment and maybe we’ll get 343’s attention with it.

I hear what you’re saying but I doubt they used a third party software like FRAPS to record it, don’t you agree?

In Halo CE, they hid their weapon or zoomed in via editing software so you could only see the reticule, which was in a lot of the original RvB Episodes I believe.
For Halo 2, they did a glitch with the Oddball which when zoomed in, allowed for no HUD, replicating a theatre looking view.

Yeah… How did Rooster Teeth film in Halo CE and Halo 2? How did This Spartan Life film in Halo 2 and LIVE shoots? There are more ways to film a video in Halo than just Theater mode.

Yes I know that theatre isn’t the only way, but be honest, do you really think it’s anything else? C’mon man ,don’t be so sour.
> No invisible barriers in Theater. Let the camera roam freely.

> It’s already bad enough that we are confined by invisible barriers in the other modes.
Well, they could have easily used a capture card to record it, but anyway, theatre is going to be in halo 4 regardless of how they film the red vs blue; the day they take out theatre, the earth will go hurdleing into the sun and blow up in a explosion of purple pixy dust from which unicorns will be born.
