Theatre Bookmarked Films Unavailable (AGAIN!)

I am trying to edit a montage and I was going to view a bookmarked film to capture some 3rd person shots. Unfortunately all of my bookmarked films are unavailable. This is the second time this has happened, the first time was after the initial release of the beta and the community was notified. This is ridiculous, is anyone else experiencing this or just me?

It’s been like this for a while. From what I can tell, you can only rewatch the last match you played.

I can’t guarantee this will work, but it’s worth a try…

Delete your save data and reserved space, perform a hard reset and re-sync Halo infinite with your latest cloud data.

ok, how do i re-sync Halo with the latest cloud data if I decide to take these steps?

I need to try this too - any help would, well, help.

So highlight the Halo Infinite tile, press options and go to manage game, scroll down and delete save data and reserve space.

Hard reset your Xbox, then re-open Halo Infinite and it will re-sync your data from the cloud automatically.

Did this end up working for any of you?

No this did not work for me.

Sorry about that, it was a shot in the dark. Maybe there is a patch for it soon.

Just curious are you saving your films to your internal storage or the cloud?

I just bookmark the film after I get a good kill feed. I then try and go back at a later time and watch the saved film in “My Bookmarks”

So I done a few re-pro steps with a film in theater.

I saved a film,
Bookmarked It.
Then watched it.
Closed the game.
Deleted the save data.
Re-synced to the cloud.
Tried to load my bookmarks…

and the file appeared in my bookmarks but didn’t allow me to watch the film or had any of the players stats and results other than my own.

I backed out of theatre and then back to the main menu and then back to theatre a few times and THEN finally it allowed me to watch the film just fine, it just took a few attempts.

For whatever reason the game is just having a hard time finding and retrieving the data from either the cloud or 343s servers wherever the data is stored. I’m assuming that since I done the the delete save data that the films are in fact NOT stored on your internal storage device in your console.

Long explanation short…

Try backing out 3 or 4 times and just wait a little bit and the option to watch your film shall work like normal.

Hope this helps you.

I’m not even seeing thumbnails for my bookmarks. Is that the case for you too?

I do not see thumbnails either. I have never seen them in the theatre or in my bookmarked films.

I just save everything with the Xbox now… Theater was just one of those features that was only feasible in 2007. Nothing that innovative can be done anymore apparently. Miss it

The only step I am confused about is “I saved a film” is that not the same as bookmarking the film? Also when you try and watch a film do you go Community/My Bookmarks/ or Community/Theatre/My Bookmarks? The reason I ask is because the amount of films I have in each of the “My Bookmark” directories is a different amount.

I also capture my highlights in first person in real time using xbox. I dont immediately go to theatre afterwards and start collecting third person shots and cinematics for that highlight it is super inconvenient. That is the purpose of the theatre, so i can view the material at a later time when friends are not online.

Yeah, I did a ninja montage of halo 3-4 and all of my clips worked fine, recorded fine. No problems. I miss getting cool shots, I don’t even know if I’ll use my infinite clips. But I’ll be -Yoink!- if I screw with that theater in infinite anytime soon after the first couple annoying times and crashes

I see them in theatre but not in my bookmarks. It all seemed to work fine in the beta version * shrug *

Yes, the thumbnails are not appearing for me also… but if I back in and out a few times the film finally allows me to watch it. However the thumbnail still will not appear.

As long as it actually plays and allows you to record the parts you need that should really be your only concern.

I’m having this same issue also. All the films I bookmarked I can no longer watch. I didn’t even have that many. It just says “MATCH RESULTS” but not “WATCH FILM” like it used to. It’s like it was erased. Doesn’t even show the teams. It just shows my gamertag. If I bookmark the very last match I played, I can watch that one. As soon as I play another game and bookmark it, I can no longer watch the one before that. Even if I don’t bookmark another game the one I was just allowed to watch also becomes unwatchable.

Now I noticed MY MATCH HISTORY still works. I can rewatch matches in that but it only keeps your games for so long. The problem is MY BOOKMARKS.

It worked right in BETA so will this be fixed or what?
