See title.
Whenever I try to view a clip in Theater Mode I cannot switch off the timeline at the bottom AND have the in-game HUD visible.
It seems like basic functionality which has been completely overlooked. Nobody wants to see the timeline when you’re showing some in-game footage, they want to see the player’s perspective, and this includes the normal in-game HUD.
@Cyberdonks I’m sure this is in the game. If you are on controller, press the B button once to hide the timeline and menu. Press it again to hide the player’s HUD. Press it a third time to ‘reset’ the cycle. I think you can also press the ‘three lines’ button (if on controller again) to hide the block in the top right corner. This way, only the HUD will be visible on screen.
Theatre in this game has a lot of issues, even a year later. It doesn’t help that 343 have given it almost no attention since the game’s launch. One of the most frustrating bugs I’ve noticed is that changing the controls doesn’t seem to remove the original function, so pressing that button will still make it do whatever it did before the controls were changed.
And the saddest of all (in my opinion), no Campaign Theatre…
You can, but it isn’t clear. I only found this out a couple of days ago by accident. You have to press the Select/View button to hide the controls pop-up in the corner.
