I don’t know if it’s possible, but a theater mode for CE/2 could be pretty cool, especially if we can still switch back and forth between old/new graphics while viewing it. Would be great for taking screenshots or making campaign Machinima.
The other week I was having the same thought. A lot of folks suggest adding forge to CE and 2, but that would seem like a nightmare to get up and running. Adding theater mode on the other hand seems a lot more reasonable. Essentially a film is recording every player’s inputs and random seed. Halo 2 was originally gonna support a theater mode, but it was axed due to to crunch. This is all easier said than done, but theater for the older titles would be fantastic! (While we are at it, please add theater mode for H4’s campaign. It’s pretty criminal that 343 killed this feature because of QTEs)
It could probably be done with enough time. I think the team at 343i probably have more hands on deck with Infinite at the moment.
Could be something that gets added down the line perhaps. Seems more of a cool thing to add but not a must have addition.
