Theater Mode for Campaign

With all of the many features being discussed in the wake of E3, the one important issue I haven’t seen being brought up is the inclusion of theater mode for the campaign. Not having it in Halo 4 was a huge let down for me, and not being able to capture Blue Team in all their glory, as well as all the other epic campaign moments, will drastically decrease the replay value of the campaign.

What are your thoughts on bringing back theater for campaign? Has there been any info on this that I may have missed?

From what I have heard there is threater mode for MP. Not SP

Absolutely behind this, I was really disappointed that 4 didn’t have campaign theater and I very much hope it’ll be in there for 5.

They can’t actually say whether Theater is in for Campaign, yet, as it is too early to tell if it is feasible in the final game.

343 haven’t confirmed or denied it.

I am going to keep my fingers crossed. Considering campaign no longer has split screen, I don’t see how incorporating theater mode would be a problem.

I actually doubt they will include Campaign Theatre or anything decent in regards to creating film clips or file sharing.

Why? Because Microsoft will be wanting to push the use of their Game DVR function on the Xbone and the use of UPLOAD to edit the clips and then using the YouTube app to upload your clips to YouTube (because you can’t do them in the UPLOAD app …ugh).

So yeah - I imagine if you want to record Campaign Theatre moments - you literally have to playing the game with the Game DVR snapped.

Why snapped? Well the “Xbox, Record That” only records the last 30 seconds of footage - and there is no way to edit this setting.

So it you want the to record more than the last 30 seconds of footage - you need to have the Game DVR snapped and then use the “End clip now” option to record the previous 30 seconds to 5 minutes of footage (you have options http://support.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-one/apps/upload-game-dvr).

This is not what we want though. In Halo 4 I really missed just the features of Halo 3 and Halo: Reach of simply playing the campaign, then booting up theatre mode and launching recorded footage, then editing the clip and sharing it all within the game itself.

This would allow to you simply play the game and not have to stop playing to record footage.

Microsoft doesn’t understand this though. They have long showed they simply want to push their own agenda rather than give us what we want and love.

Holmes didn’t flat out say that it wouldn’t be available for Campaign similar to Halo 4 but they simply didn’t want to confirm or deny anything at this time because they don’t know if it will be there at launch or not. As always, stay tuned to Beyond Entertainment and we’ll let you know when we know

Here is the article I got that quote from. Sounds like Theater will not support campaign, which doesn’t mean anything to me. I didn’t even know h4 wasn’t supported lol.

It would be nice to have campaign theatre back, but if it’s dead I’m not going to throw myself on its coffin or anything.
