The "X" on the HUD when hit enemys

So this is a “feature” which a lot games has copied this from Call of Duty. I call it: noob-mode. This has never existed in any Halos but H4? Why? This is not Call of Duty. 343i, please do me a favor and remove it. And also please enable friendly fire in matchmaking. Throwing grenades and rockets everywhere is not the point of the game. And then the noobs got also the hit confirm X on the middle of the HUD also if blind shot. This should never exist in Halo

Right, because CoD invented hit markers.
Keep believing whatever you want.

Hit markers are fine anyway, they just make you more cautious when encountering enemies or more aggressive.

It existed in Halo PC as an audio cue as opposed to a visual one.

What was never in Halo before, now?

There were hit markers in BF1942, CoD just took it and let people THINK that they came up with hit markers.

and killing your teammate for getting the weapon/vehicle you wanted isn’t the point of the game either -_-

It least it made you more cautious than just spamming grenades in a tight area where you and a teammate and two enemies were in.
That’s a small feature that I miss :frowning:

I always hated that little “bing” sound.

It is pretty much the only CoD-like addition that I am fine with.

Before you blast me, I know about CoD not inventing all of this and stuff, but in my opinion you can use process of elimination to determine that such things were taken to imitate CoD. My opinion, and I understand if you disagree.

It doesn’t really affect gameplay much. The only possible advantage would be throwing a grenade around a corner or far away and knowing if someone is there (perhaps a camper) through the hit marker. I actually enjoy them during campaign. Something satisfying about them. Also when I need to spray with an automatic at a slightly longer range than normal I can tell easier if things are effective are not, especially on stronger enemies that don’t react for some time to wounds.

It’s great, lets you know if your shots are registering or not.

Stopped reading after seeing that.

I like it. It means i know when i’m hitting someone if i’m lagging.

Infinity Ward/Treyarch took majority of those features which were used in other games, and placed them into a mainstream title. This is why most CoD (console) fans have the misconception that it created them, when in fact this is false.

the only problem I have with it is that it shows for grenades…
just lets noobs spam nades without really knowing anything

This. So much of this. Being aware of whether or not your bullets re actually registering on your enemy is an extreme necessity.

Lol people complaining about hitmarkers.

Yeah, so CoD has them. Doesn’t automatically make them a bad thing.

At least complain about something legitimate, like Ordnance or Perks.

Though arguably they should be removed from grenades since it makes finding enemies too easy.
