In game modes where there are instant respawns, the dead Spartan doesn’t get much chance to watch his deathcam and subsequent corpse desecration. Teabagging will be grossly underpowered in Halo 4, and to me thus far, this is the most disappointing aspect of instant respawns.
Just spawning so fast is just so unfair.
? The problem I have with Instant Respawns is that the time the enemy team is down a man because of a kill, is the time your team has the advantage (especially for Objective).
That and spawn timers keep players from just coming back, charging at where they died, and finding you still weak from the fight you just had with them.
Don’t care much about the loss of the -Yoink!- cam tbh.
eh, you win some, and you lose some.
Assassinations are the new -Yoink!- my friend.

There is still a timer. It is only an instant respawn if the player presses x.
instant respawning removes the punishment of dieing, thats a problem because it can allow those players that just died to instantly respawn and finnish off the guy that killed him.
That was the whole point of including instant respawn. It provides faster, more fluid gameplay and it helps the people that don’t want to see their spartan tarnished.

Instant respawns or press to respawn are not in every game mode. Objective focused modes like CTF or bomb will not use this system. I think Regicide might, though.

Halo was special because you could -Yoink!- and also I agree the player could just run back to you when you’re still weak. Please get rid of instant respawns 343i.
Wow 343i people can’t see my victory crouching?
You’ve just lost a player
/sarcasm

Oh,ok that’s a relief.
Discouraging acting like a 10 year old? Good.

Objective won’t have instant respawn.

lolwut? The punishment of dying is losing the game.

also the risk of loosing map control, weapon control and not being able to help your team for a short period of time.
instant respawning doesn’t punnish players for dieing, instead they can respawn over and over again quickly overwhelming the other team and taking down there map control all because they spawned instantly not giving the team with map control time to recharge there shields.
thats a big problem.

I agree.
There’s still going to be death times in objective game types. Don’t worry, if it means that much to you to know someone is watching you press a button repeatedly, head over there.
Maybe the Objective Playlists will gain some more players this way XD

Objective game types are confirmed not to have instant respawn. It will only be in gametypes where respawn time doesnt matter, (Infinity Slayer) as stated by 343.
I can’t wait to instant respawn behind someone teabagging my corpse, it’s gonna be hilarious.

not for the guy te-bagging…
