The worst micro-transaction in the gaming history

There is no doubt that Halo 5 Requisition is the worst micro-transaction as AAA game. 343 implemented Requisition so wrong and ruined Halo 5. $3 or $2 for two permanent? How is that worth it? Also, the packs are not guaranteed to get specific items. Those are randomized pack makes feel like I’m gambling. Every armors have variations that has only different skins. I’ve counted the actual number of armor sets and there are about 75 armors currently without variations. With variations there are 208 armor sets. It’s more than doubling the number. Do we really need those amount of Armor sets? Most of does not look like Halo style and look awful. Did they sell armory pack of $12? Only for skins??? That’s even worse.

Every update, 343 added new useless Reqs like variations with only different skins, at least five different cards that are same skin, useless emblems, etc… Updates are based on Reqs than maps or game modes. I never seen any company that provided updates that are micro-transaction based. With the Ghost of Meridian update, we get two things, the Skirmish at Darkstar and one unknown map. It’s an update with two maps. Updates are pretty much meaningless. I do not understand why 343 emphasizes “New REQs” in the update trailers, its depressing. Again, they will emphasize it soon.

343 needs to look at Treyarch’s Call of Duty and DICE’s Battlefield micro-transaction, since 343 wants to become part of modern FPS. They don’t do it like 343. They combined achievement and micro-transaction, so you can set a goal for certain item (challenging) or you can just spend money to get faster. They at least provided options for it. 343? No only one option, the randomized. Also Call of Duty and Battlefield have more meaningful updates and carrying contents that their fans truly like and want.

Conclusion: Halo 5 Guardians should’ve launch at 2016 with full updates 343 planned, so we will never rant about it. Hoping no Requisition in future Halo.

I agree. I do not like the way the gaming industry is going with paid DLC and season passes. The only place micro transactions have in games is when it’s purely aesthetical, like Counter Strike.

NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS!!! its cheap garbage content to actually ask people to pay for…

Clearly you never played EA’s reboot of Dungeon Keeper. Fail.

The Requisition is a perfect example for garbage content.

No it’s one of the best.

You can get them for free by playing.

People just hate it if there is a second way to get items

I stopped reading at the title. H5 is not the worse game for microtra$actions. Bo3 right now gets that place lmao. IMO I’m not feeling pressured into buying packs with real money because I can earn 4 gold packs a day which is plenty. You need to rethink your post and do some research on other games microtransactions.

I really hope this thread is a joke… Why would you complain about their being more customization options? How does having more armor make the game bad? If you don’t like the armory pack don’t buy it. Theres absolutely nothing related to game play in the pack its nothing but cosmetics. The pack gives you no sort of advantage. You don’t have to pay $3 for a pack you can buy it just as easily with req points you earn by just playing the game. This whole thread is pretty pointless. Why would having more customization have any negative effect towards the community. Not to mention the money from req packs goes to competitive prize pools. Which again is only a positive effect of the req system.

As much as I don’t like Microtransactions I don’t feel impacted by them at all within Halo 5. If someone wants to drop £100 on Req packs that’s up to them but I do just fine by simply playing.

BO3 has a better system, if not close to the same one as Halo 5. In the REQ system, they literally give you OP guns.

Could not have said this any better.

correct me if I am wrong, but in bo3 you do also get random items and weapons(I do not mean the weapons you get by lvl), right?

Yes you do.

They recently added, maybe 4-6 guns to the game through the Blackmarket. Everything else is cosmetic.

They have added altogether about 10 weapons. Did I also mention, unlike Halo, they will keep giving you the same item over and over even though you got it? Believe me, if you think Halo 5 system is bad… Don’t play Bo3

All you guys claiming Black Ops 3, Destiny, etc. have the worst microtransactions. Clearly you’ve never played a game like Combat Arms.

I mean don’t get me wrong, Halo 5’s microtransactions definitely suck, but they’re not the worst.

And you can still sell duplicates… Getting the same skin twice isn’t really a big deal. 10 weapons is nothing compared to all the REQ weapons out now, regardless if they are single use or not.

Going to disagree because it’s 100% voluntary whether you buy packs with money or use points… using money gives you no advantage of getting anything over some one who uses points. Just another thread that seems to dismiss the fact that you don’t have to buy reqs with money… use points.
