Construct
Reason: the top half of the map is favored over the bottom half because it has an energy sword and a sniper whereas the bottom half has barely anything but a few Br’s yet both sides have spawns unfair much?
Also the bottom half of the map is underused and the spawns their are terrible and have no cover between them.
How they could have fixed it: first of all the entire layout of this map needs a revamp the spawns should be on vertical symmetry (one on the left one on the right). the ramps at the lift areas (the places where the sword campers usually are) should be flattened out as they give a height advantage to the top half. Next they should put a power weapon on the bottom half, I’d suggest moving the sniper to the bottom lift area since the bottom half mostly consists of long corridors and they can snipe sword campers who are trying to camp at the top. Last thing the two grenades at the bottom as well as the power drain should be removed and a power drain should be moved to where the sniper is. Finally the missile pod should be removed (no banshees here) and the spartan laser should be moved to the center of the map (bottom) the central tier should be left alone and perhaps flattened out, the starting spawns should go to the bottom area at either side and instead of the ramps at each side there will be another diagonal corridor parallel to the other corridors and they should lead to the big lift at the bottom half of the map.
Well that’s my opinion of a now dated map. if anyone wants to put my ideas to good use and edit the map on forge feel free, please note that this is my opinion and any other opinions are free to be told, this is a discussion after all.
Along with the Stickies you mentioned, there are a pair of Maulers, a Spartan Laser and (my favourite) a Flamethrower on the bottom level, at least in the default configuration. I reckon most people simply preference the high ground because it’s easier to look down, (and for Jedi) kill people.
I guess not everyone likes the same things. I love Construct, but hate Derelict. I’m sure there are those who feel the opposite. By the way, Cyan as a font colour isn’t so easy on the eyes. o_O
> Considering we are in the Halo 3 forum, I will tell you that I hated and despised Orbital when that came out, it was just so unfun to play.

I kinda like orbital it had a weird fell to it but alot of the map looked like it was copyed and pasted kinda like the whole odst campagin.
my least favorite map would be etipah and citadle. I did not like etipah for some reason i dont know i did not like playing on it and citadle was to common of a map for me also isolation was another bad one.
Thinking of it brings back memories of people spamming grenades in narrow hallways, crouching behind boxes and using regen and bubble shield while having a mauler. The spawning was also terrible.

Firstly please never pick that color because thats terrible to read also its not as bad as the forge maps since there constantly spammed, they look horrible.

In pains me to say that I agree, possibly the most recognisable map of Halo CE/2’s MP and its remake sucks. Mainly because of the spawns and general unfairness/spawn trapping.
Indeed. Telling users to highlight words (something which I’ll reveal I already did) is hardly a pro tip.
As I mentioned, there are plenty of weapons on the lower levels of Construct. So I don’t believe that the weapon layout is flawed. Height and the perspective that it grants is just another advantage, that’s why people will prefer to be on the upper levels. Due to the upward direction of the gravity lifts, it’s also the locale of favourable camping spots.
Construct is my favourite map… love the pace of game-play especially in MLG. It is perfectly fair, both teams spawn down low at the beginning and then they contest the top… simple.
Oh and in response to your ‘they should put a power weapon down low idea’, I guess the Spartan Laser doesn’t count… I mean it only fires a giant F***ING LASER.
And to be honest I don’t think many people will take the opinion of a kid who writes in bright Cyan too seriously…
