While I wouldn’t say 343 were exactly trolling us I do see it as a waste of time for the viewer and maker to be on a ten minute rant regarding the color of a floating X that is only on screen for two seconds.
Glad you brought it up so I could make this question:
Did this patch affect the Campaign?
Because I’ve played campaign co-op recently and noticed the white x when my teammate died, but I don’t recall seeing it when I played Halo 4 co-op before the patch.
It may have even affected Spartan Ops, but I’ve never played that anymore.

It would make sense as the RED X was present when somebody died in the previous campaigns.
Quick question, have i replied to a comment you made on thes forums recently, just wondering as somebody with the same display pic as yours was the first person i had seen on the forums who knew his knowledge

The actual X was white, but the name was red, and that was more obvious. I don’t mind the color, but I hate that it disappears so fast. By the time someone calls it out, their X is already gone.

If someone is behind you, it’s rather useless as well. By the time you turn around, it’s irrelevant. Hopefully in adding it to the game, they also have the ability to make it stay on screen longer.

Well, a lot of people use this Halo 3 display pic, so it might have not been me.
Anyway, I also don’t keep track of the gamertags that appear on the forum, sorry. Too many names.
