It’s literally insulting. It takes HOURS to complete all the challenges. And our reward is some pathetic emblem backdrop?! Like give us some armor? Some armor coatings? A helmet? Like respect us and our time just a little bit for Christ’s sake

They will always be garbage. They designed a system of progression rewards with practically no available rewards. And we are still in season 1. It will only get worse. If you want something good 343 will make you buy it. The trash rewards are just to make you feel like you accomplished something.

They are only gonna get better. Thats how f2p games usually are when they first come out. They wait till people spend all there money on the limited non flashy crap thats available then start adding the flashy stuff so people have a reason to spend all there money again.
Same with the weekly rewards if the population keeps dwindling. They are gonna try to keep people playing with better rewards then the previous ones hopefully
yup agree, the whole of our precious Halo, the challenge system and battle pass included is created so it entices you to buy from the shop, hell I even had to buy premium battle pass just to get rid of the annoying “advertising”…this 6 year development of corporate money making rubbish has left a bad taste in my mouth.

This really shouldn’t be hard to grasp: if you don’t like the reward, then don’t bother grinding the challenges. It’s not like some underwhelming mystery reward where you look back at the end of the week and feel like you wasted your time. You know already it would be a waste.
I prefer the weeks with rewards I don’t want, this way I don’t get sucked into sweating in the terrible challenge system.

The backdrops would be much better if we could choose their colour. Some of them look awful with my emblem. I’ve been excited for the Flag one as 5 Flag is my favourite mode but it doesn’t look very good. I’m not gonna use it.

Lol it’s not hard to grasp- it’s just that if they’re going to design such a garbage system for unlocking things on a week to week basis, they should at least do us the courtesy to make the unlock in question worth while. To me it’s disrespectful to your audience to say “here spend 10 hours doing these bogus challenges and we’ll give you some 1990’s windows clip art for your emblem you can’t pick the color or design of”
Nothing wrong with complaining about this and asking for it to be better. I don’t want to log in every week and be insulted by the weekly ultimate “reward”. It should be better. And it’s good to give feedback on things that I feel need to improve.

Right, we should be able to poke fun at their clipart backdrops, lol. And, besides, it’s 2022 now; we should be able to make our own and upload it. Then, they wouldn’t even need to provide any emblem art.

So if you’ve completed the BP, no event to work towards, don’t need the XP and bored of the game with all it’s ongoing faults and issues…you don’t actually have any reason to play the game. I’ve already completed the mundane campaign twice on Legendary so won’t be doing that again until co-op is released (if it ever will be), so really struggling to think of reasons to play…none of my friends play it anymore either so it’s not even “fun”.
I have a feeling we might see another population drop this week…someone make a note and check up if you can be bothered!

Sure, I would prefer better rewards, but I’d rather them fix the challenge system before they put in really great rewards for me to suffer through the current system.
Ex:
I really hate running, so I’m not going to enter any marathons just to get the number that gets pinned to my shirt. Give me a gift card to some place and I’ll maybe consider it.
I really enjoy any variety of ball games, and I’ll happily play any of them for nothing other than the company of friends.
In the above example consider the marathon a “playlist” I don’t enjoy, and the ball games the “playlist” I do enjoy.
Just a different prospective I guess. If the reward is crap then I’m just as content, if not more so, playing what I want to.

The only real figures we can get is steam and the shills will say they don’t matter anyway. They fail to consider that the game was designed to be multiplatform and that if it fails on one platform it will have a detrimental effect on the others.
imagine what the store prices would have been if it wasn’t taking potential PC customers into account.
The content will start to slow down even further, support will start to get less and less (if that’s even possible). Eventually it will be a handful of players that cant shoot each other as their positions wont match each other or that of the server, but worry not. Its an Xbox game they say.
I watched the Halo 3 E3 trailer earlier. How epic the franchise seamed back then to what it has become now.
