The wasp has impressed me in this update. It is very deadly and can go toe toe with most forces. It is a welcome addition to the halo vehicle arsenal.
However, it should have passenger bars. 2 little bars for Spartans to grab on to if they want to be quickly transported across the map. It would not affect balancing in any way for the wasp (the wasp is made of paper and can be killed very easily) and this would be strictly for transportation
.At the very least 343 should make a req variant of the wasp which can hold passengers in exchange for its rockets (like the passenger hornet from halo 3).
Im hoping for the hornet too. Wasp is fun but it would be cool to have our teammates be dropped off at enemy bases!
What’s up with UNSC and their insect names?

I like this idea, actually. Removing it’s rockets would make it much less deadly making it a transport would make the hornet falcon crowd shut up.

Well, all the human vehicles are based off of animals to some degree (Scorpion, Warthog, Wasp), while the Covenant tends to lean towards more supernatural beings (Ghost, Wraith, Banshee, etc). Been like this since day one in Halo dude

Yeah, like Warthog and Mongoose and Falcon, Vulture, Cobra, Wolverine, Pelican, Sabre, Broadsword, Longsword, Shortsword, Cyclops…

I believe aircraft that are primarily close combat roles are named after insects, those which are primarily transports are birds, and general fighter/bombers are sword.
Edit: now that I think about it, the Vulture is a gunship so maybe that’s not quite right. Maybe the multipurpose aircraft (gunship and transports) are birds. The Pelican and flacon follow this too. Sparrow hawk is just a small gunship but maybe big enough to not fall into small close range insect named craft.
