the warzone bosses points and other problems

HI everyone I just wanna share with you some problems I’m having with the multiplayer of halo 5.
Am I the only who thinks that 150 points are too many for killing one single legendary boss?
without counting what I call “the single bullet -Yoink!-”: I immediately give you an example: this afternoon I was playing on apex, and we were at the point were hestro spawns. I pick up my oni warthog and I start shooting at it all the time, when he was at 1% of life, a random guy comes out and with a single shot of a magnum(yes, a MAGNUM) kills him.
This, I have to admit, was really frustrating and it wasn’t the only case also. I know, this is the way that system works, it’s not who takes the most of the boss’s life(snoop dogg reference lmao) but who actually kills him, but I still find it a bit unbalanced, maybe if a single legendary boss gives 75 points or 100 instead of 150 would be more enjoyable to play.
And another thing I hate: the vehicle friendly fire.
Every time one of my allies comes towards me with a ghost and barely hits me, my shield goes down immiadetely and I remain with 1% health. And sometimes while my shields are recharching someone has a lucky shot and kills me.
Am I the only one having that problem?

I agree with the vehicle thing, however it is mostly me not being aware of my surroundings. Probably 90% of the time I know where vehicles are and avoid contact so its not an issue.

With the bosses, people “taking” kills is annoying, but it is a legitimate strategy. You mentioned you were shooting him down, what were your other teammates doing? It’s their job to hold off the enemy team to protect your boss takedown. When I watch full fire teams play, I don’t see them have the issue of the other team taking their boss kills because they work as a team. Playing randoms, like the majority of us I think do, is when its an issue.

How to fix it, I don’t know. I don’t mind the idea of lowering the points. If they do lower the points, I would love more AI spawns and have some kind of randomness to it as well.

i think the bosses are way to repetitive and it should be 25vp for stuff like soldier guard and hunter elder and it should be 100vp for stuff like knight strategos and captin hestro and it should be 150vp for warden eternal

and also i was at the point were the score was around 900 v 900 and then warden eternal spawns and my entire team get REQs and i get a oni mantis and he was like dead and a random guy on the other team just runs in with a plasma pistol with a single shot and gets final shot and the other team get 150vp and win so i just wasted an oni mantis and 2 guys on my team had oni scorpoins and another had a pheaton and everyone else had like a spartan laser or a rocket launcher. >:(

They should award the boss kill to the team that inflicts the most damage on the boss. It’s just way too random and unpredictable the way it is at the moment.

Make sure there are no enemies around before getting a boss to low enough hp that a single enemy could kill them. Also it is best to take down bosses by getting their hp kow enough to die from a rocket or railgun or tank shot rather than peppering them with a warthog.

They are probably playing against randoms though. You try and protect a warden kill with a full fireteam against another full fireteam of the same skill and its not so easy to lock down a boss kill.

Cmon dude. If your team can’t stop a single dude with a plasma pistol then you deserve to lose.

thanks for all the answers, at least I’m not the only one complaining about these sort of problems.
the fact is that you always don’t know how a boss battle will go, basically because even if your entire team is shooting at warden eternal and there is no enemy around, maybe when it’s like 1% health a sniper bullet coming from a 100 meters away opponent that you can’t see kills him, and you and you team lose…that thing is so random, even if you got walshy, strongside and the other pros in your fireteam you always don’t know how a warzone match will end.

The quickest and easiest and I think the best solution to bosses having to high a score is add 500 to 1000 points to the “NEED TO WIN”.
The last Warden would appear at at around the same time but because of the extra point needed to win even the winning side taking out the warden would guarantee a win. The final section of the game would just be Red V’s Blue.

i feel getting the last shot is quite random , ther has been many times i was shure i had the last shot on a ai boss and its awardes to the enemy team , i just have to asume latency due to playing on american servers all the time .

Then your team won’t have any incentive to kill a boss after the other team have inflicted more damage on it. The only thing left for you to do is to keep them from killing the boss, as when you’d kill it, they’d be rewarded, even though they are not there.

Hide healthbars instead, forces both team to fight each other to clear each other out if they want a secure kill.

I am all for boss stealing.

You are right about who kills the Legendary bosses because there is that one guy that finishes the kill…
Also, I agree about the vehicle friendly fire and that person that kills you afterwards, I have that same problem.

My proposal is this. Make the first 100 points strictly off percentage done to the boss and then the final 50 for whoever gets the kill. This would increase player involvement in damaging the boss instead of waiting around to take the final shot.

For example: red team inflicts 70% damage while blue team inflicts 30%. However, the blue team gets the kill. Blue team would receive 30 + 50 for a total of 80 points while red would still get 70 for inflicting 70% damage.
