The warthog is HUUUGEE!

The warthog is 6 meters long, 3.2 meters wide and 3 meters tall!
Why is it so big and yet it can hold so little people! A retcon where it has more seats in the back with the turret would be nice or something…

It should have more gadgets too.

You’re forgetting all that fancy stuff that allows it to never stop running, survive those huge jumps, and function in low/no gravity and with/without atmosphere.

Yeah well there are only about a thousand and a half[?] spartans. The warthog wasn’t designed specifically for them. It’s still huge for unaugmented humans. Atleast it’s faster than a humvee.

> You’re forgetting all that fancy stuff that allows it to never stop running, survive those huge jumps, and function in low/no gravity and with/without atmosphere.

And it can hold 3 spartans.

And according to BC2, it a million times less maneuverable and a million times more durable than a humvee.

Where is the trunk exactly? The transport one in the graphic novel had one! Oh Halo wars members yay.

It’s not that much bigger than a modern day HMMWV. The HMMWV is 5m long and >2m wide.

4.6 meters long and 2.1 meters wide.

1.4 meters of difference and 90 centimiters. Normal warthog holds three passengers.

I guess game play dictated it’s huge size. It works.

There were 33 Spartan-IIs, and a total of 900-ish Spartan-IIIs, but most of them died ata young age, and there were never more than 300 at a time, because the previous company would be whiped out(not a requirement for a new company, mind you) before a new company would graduate(i.e. finish augmentation, the final requirement for beig considered a Spartan.) All in all, there have existed about 330 Spartans at any given time between 2531 and 2552.

Oh hell no. You don’t just retcon the most iconic vehicle in the Halo series for being a little big after ten years of it’s design being in videogames, comic books, anime and novels. Thats like turning Pikachu into an alligator because rodents are vicious creatures.

It’s made to carry SPARTAN-II super-soldiers which weigh more than a ton if I recall.

Yeah, it kind of has to be big.

No it wasn’t. But the warthog does have a lot of armour.

No it wasn’t. Only UNSC pieces of equipment specifically for spartans were MJLNIR Mk V, VI, and the up-sized M6D.

I looked at it and I saw that the troop transport warthog would be able hold a minimum of 7 people.

> I looked at it and I saw that the troop transport warthog would be able hold a minimum of 7 people.

Meh. Well that doesn’t mean those people have the space to turn and shoot freely.
And it complicates AI programming when they’re 7 seats on the vehicle to choose from.

the main point is this: it would be AWESOME if you showed up at the walmart/ drivethru/ school to pick up your kids in a warthog. can everyone agree on that?

I agree, except the walmart part.

The warthog is so huge because I need it to be to make all my covenant/spartan road kill medals.
