Has anyone else had the infuriating moment in the last round of Mythic Firefight, when the Warden is literally one shot as the timer runs out? I’ve also had it happen where we have killed him at the last second, but as he is in the process of dying, the timer has gone and we don’t get credit for the win. Best weapons / vehicles for dealing with him?

Both of those things have happened to me on Heroic, multiple times, and with other final round bosses. Very annoying. Also why did you bold your entire post?

Due to the fact that they don’t have infinite ammo, there is no such thing as a good weapon to fight Wardens in firefight. To combat Wardens, vehicles are a better choice 100% of the time, because of their extra protection and infinite ammo. Scorpions are a good choice, especially Hannibal ones for the increased damage they can deal, and Wraiths for those Wardens that hide inside bases. Just don’t use weapons.
Sorry, I totally spaced that I did it in all bold, my bad. And yeah, I was doing Mythic Firefight all night last night, and it seemed like no matter what, even with all of us in vehicles, we always would come up just short right at the final seconds, it drove me crazy. Didn’t get through all 5 rounds a single time. I play arena 98% percent of the time, I’ve mastered every Halo game, I’m not a noob, but I am a noob to the playlist and was just seeing if there was some trick that I was missing

That sounds really annoying. But I can’t think of any tricks besides getting lucky enough to not get matched with teammates who don’t call in vehicles. I would say the effectiveness of any req against Wardens correlates pretty much directly with the amount of sheer DPS it can dish out. But then again, I only play on Heroic
It’s usual to get defeated on last round of mythic when your allies decided to take on the warden with loadouts and power weapons. I keep playing mythic too and won several times. The best choice is a scorpion/wraith. 5 people with scorpions/wraiths is enough, however to make it quicker an ally also needs to assassinate the warden when he has low health it’s kinda risky though. It’s far better if 8 people have scorpions/wraiths but that barely happens.
It pains me when it comes down to round five, but there’s only two or three players with decent vehicles out. On Legendary, you can get away with a regular Banshee, but on Mythic, you’re just a hindrance. People have got to be more ready to use their vehicle REQs on Mythic.
The best ways to take him out are high-end Scorpions, Wraiths, and maybe Rocket or Gauss Warthogs if you can get to a safe distance. As for weapons, there isn’t much that really packs a good punch behind it to make it viable. Only ones I can think of are Arclight and the Answer. Rockets can help, too, but their travel time make them easily dodged by the Warden. If there is one or two people on foot, it helps to get behind the Warden to distract him. If they can get him to turn his back on the vehicles, he’ll go down pretty quick. Not to mention that once his health reaches a certain threshold, he can be assassinated.
If you absolutely do not have any vehicles to weapons to spare, grab a BR or DMR, and start working on Watchers or other enemies. Vehicles benefit the most when there aren’t tons of enemies shooting them in addition to the Warden, and getting rid of Watchers helps out a ton as well.
Get high-end vehicles out. If you are playing Mythic Firefight, don’t hesitate to use that Hannibal Scorpion you’ve been saving.
If you are getting desperate, you can REQ a power weapon at a REQ station so that you don’t spawn halfway across the map and spend a full 60 seconds getting to your location. REQ-ing power weapons is usually one of the most stupid decisions you can make in Firefight, but you should always do it for the sake of saving the game.
I generally equip The Answer to fight the Warden, in this situation. Most Warden battles occur in a home base, so vehicles are usually on the ground drawing fire from the Warden. You can flank the Warden by taking one of the two side paths, and then his back is vulnerable. He would be taking fire from the front and the back, so no matter where he turns, he will be vulnerable to explosive SAW rounds or the advanced weaponry of strong vehicles.
Kind of situational, but if you can somehow manage to get behind him with splinter nades, binary rifles or scattershots, you can lock him in place by hitting him in the back with them. An easy kill if you can start the cycle, this example is done in both the Legendary and LASO speedrun for Unconfirmed, it works well.

At least you have a good excuse since it’s Mythic. Imagine losing like that on Heroic. Heroic! We should never lose on Heroic, but we do because we get matched with people who are insanely bad.
Yeah happens to the best of us. As far as killing him quick vehicles are best. Phaeton Helios is good
best weapons for mythic are actually vehicles and the best vehicles for dps are temple wraith and oni scorpion.
Lots of great advice, I actually managed to get through it all three times, a lot of it due to getting lucky with some good teammates

It’s worst when everyone has to get out of their vehicles for other bosses but I wish we got 6 or 7 minuets in the final round this would have been so helpful especially on mythic warzone fire fight
There really isn’t a trick with Mythic Wardens other than using the better vehicle variants. Also as others have said, having 1-2 teammates on foot helps as they can assassinate him to save time.

I would advise against Arclights and rockets because they run out of ammo very quickly in firefight. Answers are possibly useful but still far outclassed by vehicles.

As long as those teammates aren’t leading Warden behind walls inside the bases so tanks can’t shoot him. I hate it when people do that.
Honestly the biggest frustration with firefight is having teammates that don’t pull reqs or just pull reqs that don’t help. That is the only time I run into an issue with warden not dying in time to win the game. Honestly Halo 5 is just unplayable solo
But to answer your question, I find that getting Ultra wraith works pretty well. it does good damage and it is very difficult to not have a shot seeing as you can bank shots. Other than that, I recommend using a phaeton, ONI wasp, Hannibal wasp. These vehicles work well cause they can get into and out of fire quickly, deal decent damage, and just be able to consistently put pressure on warden which allows teammates to put shots on. Ad vic, talon of the lost, spnkr ex, tier 3 laser, Arclight, answer, blood of suban, gauss hog turrets all work well.

This is the best reply, I agree 100%, I use my best reqs in that final round and have teammates that just rush with power weapons expecting to win, it really sucks
the mythic warden on mythic mode is a super hard boss and its best if all teammates get into not only vehicles but like oni or hannibal versions of them as he packs a punch and even in top of the line vehicles you can get easily blown up. Just the legions of minions he has all over is alot to take on sometimes.
Yeah, I definitely agree that it is when you should bust out your good vehicle reqs
