I have a theory that the warden eternal is the composed didact? Thoughts?
The Didact hates humans. Why would he listen to Cortana
because Cortana isn’t human? At the end of halo 4 she even says she isn’t doing this for humanity
Also his distaste for master chief when he says that Cortana called him. He responds with “And you came scampering”. That seems like he dislikes master chief to me…

im pretty sure voice actor being different doesn’t prove anything…
you can not say that the dumbledore in the first harry potter movie was a different dumbledore from the later movies because he was a different actor

You can’t because according to the movies lore he was the same guy. But the Didact absolutely hated humans. He wouldn’t listen to a Human AI. Hell. Why would he not take Cortanas place if he could?

Sooo unless 343 has decided to completely disregard thier last game all together the didact being composed is impossible the same way chief cant be composed

The Didact entered slipspace and escaped in Halo 4. In the comics, Didact ends up getting composed after being fired at by multiple composers. The monitor of the installation says that he is contained.
As for OP’s theory, I don’t think this is very probable since the Warden found Cortana almost immediately after Cortana slipspaced with the ship into Genesis. They are different people, though it’s likely the Warden serves the Didact since he is a Warrior Servant construct.
I would say that the Didact isn’t the Warden, but was created by the forrunners and most likely had close ties to him, but doesn’t serve him either. His programming forces him to follow those who hold the mantle. The Didact never truly held the mantle, only former forrunners, Master Chief(humanity), and Cortana have held that post.

It’s already been established that the Warden has been around, or at least in the Domain, for a long time, since before the Halo Array fired.

He -thought- he couldn’t be composed. Apparently he didn’t try hard enough…either that or 50,000 years of suspended animation weakened his body enough to allow composure. In a book or comic released after Halo 4, he encounters the Chief again and gets composed.
I still don’t think he’s the Warden though.

Didact’s head got blown to smithereens by a fragment of a Halo Ring… Technically his essence is still out there but he’s definitely not the Warden. It is possible that Warden eternal was once the monitor The Warden who was bribed by Master Builder Faber to release him from custody (this is very unlikely) but he’s most definitely not Ur-Didact. The WardenE has a sworn duty to protect the master of the domain, Didact wouldn’t do squat. Just 'sayin.
Yeah ever since I first saw Gordon Eternal, it was my theory that it was the composed Didact.
I don’t keep up with the lore as much as some people though
Gordon is his real name by the way, he doesn’t like being called Warden, that’s just something the other forerunners called him behind his back because it rhymes, and I think it is quite nasty that everyone calls him that OK
