The Visual Effects and Physics

So I wasnt keen on Halo 2 anniversarys artstyle but it had the most stunning particle visuals during plasma explosives and the smoke from frag explosions. They looked real enough and in Halo 3 and Reach explosions had a nice effect of being somewhat blinding when in or walking near the explosion. I do not see that much in Infinite so far. If you shoot a rocket launcher or throw a frag grenade, pay attention to the explosion. It looks like a 2D explosion photoshopped. The plasma grenade looks like…glowing clay being blown up? Theres also missed opportunity with lingering smoke being blown in the wind or just up into the atmosphere and fade. There’s something about these explosions that come off as cartoonish more than anything.

Ragdoll. I hope they really work on this, because the Gravity Hammer is fantastic with its hit range. But it doesnt send enemies flying when kiilling them. But it will send them flying if you miss. It needs more oomph to really sell the animation and effect it masterfully delivers. Also 343…please remove or speed up that start up animation when they swing the hammer.

Also I feel like Halo Reach had more sparking effects than what Im seeing in Infinite. It just sells the amount of friction and gunfire being rained down on walls and other objects.
