The Vanilla vs TU Solution.

Just keep both in two separate categories. I won’t go back to vanilla, and you won’t go back to TU. Keeping both would win like Charlie Sheen.

PS: A Zero Bloom playlist should be permanent as well.

All agree?

Splitting the playerbase even further is always a good idea. No wonder bad matches occur in Reach; populations are too spread out, not enough players for the already lax trueskill system to work.

It should all be TU’d. Just TU, Zero Bloom and Anniversary. Since bleed is out of TU, it’s much more viable (though i am sad to see it gone). Thanks to it’s removal, Vanilla is now more redundant than it was before as most TU detractors hated the bleed but everything else was adaptable.

Of course we still have that useless sandbox that needs some buffing up. I think each weapon should have skill gaps just like the utility do, not just fitting in weapon roles. While i am not saying players should be able to cross map with ARs or shotguns, they still need to be more useful if players are forced to spawn with automatics/magnums.

I feel completely vulnerable without a DMR when spawning with AR/Magnum stars in Halo 3 and Reach. It really sucks because if the other player gets utility, you are that much of a disadvantage and being at a disadvantage means you wont’ get that much of a chance to pick said DMR/NR because you’ll being dying much more.

Wait, when did they remove bleedthrough? I collected every TU gametype. I’d hate to go through another mess of quit bans, just to collect them all again. Crap…

They did this. Its called team slayer and super slayer. It was in the update.

And yes bleedthrough is gone as of tuesday.

What you don’t realise though is that those of us who hate TU will simply quit the game, or go play another game rather than play TU most of the time. So your theory doesn’t actually solve anything. We don’t want to play TU and you don’t want to play vanilla.
If people got what they wanted instead of being forced into a gametype they dislike with a passion, the community would stop decreasing and numbers should return, but as long as TU remains the only option expect the community to keep fading because as the non TU players leave, the population decreases, matches become harder to find, other players leave because of low player count and trouble finding a game. It’s a vicious cycle which has only one solution: stop catering to one side of the community. If 343 spent less time dividing the community with TU based updates and focused more on bug fixes (bulltrue glitch, random host disconnects, single people on blackscreen) and content drops (new maps, new GOOD gametypes, DLC) reach would become a great game again.
