Okay, so Requiem is destroyed (it went into a freaking sun) along with the Librarian A.I. on it.
My thoughts are…if the Didact was teleported to Requiem from his ship, he’s dead. No way around it. His ship is destroyed. So is his Cryptum, and the Infinity would have noticed if another ship was launched from Requiem.
Unless he was teleported to a different location, which is what I’m thinking, but where.
This is most likely the proof that the Didact wasn’t on Requiem or maybe he is truly dead. I don’t believe he is though. If he was on Requiem and escaped, he could have been on one of the Covenant ships seen leaving. Had he done that though, they probably would have shown him.

Then that leaves but one question, where the heck is he?!
Considering his symbol, glyph, shows up with his omnious theme, and it would seem Jul knows much more than he should about how things operate in relation to Forerunner technology and artifacts, it is most likely the Didact that has been pulling the strings all along so far.
But it is possible that he had relayed more important information to Jul before he retrieved the Composer as well. I think he was possibly retrieved by remaining Forerunners, and thrown in front of them on a trial of sorts after his confrontation with John and Cortana.
It would be strange for him to actually have been killed when entering slip space, unless his armor was more damaged than we realize, I simply imagine he survived and may be pulling the strings during his recovery. If we are to continue and have a Season 2 of Spartan Ops, I feel the Didact will be our big bad, if he is not imprisoned or being held accountable for his actions. The Librarian did not seem to hint that he was living or atleast a threat anymore to us, but she seemed disappointed that he had not changed, and had not become a ally.

If the Campaign’s Epilogue is any indication, he is most likely imprisoned by other Forerunner. Where that is unknown but we know some were said to have survived and left the Galaxy to parts unknown. Since they left the Ur-Didact behind it would make sense for them to have left some way for them to be alerted to the Ur-Didact’s awakening. When he fell into the Slipspace portal they may have redirected him to their location.
I had thought he would have survived the events of Halo 4, simply because you don’t bring out the leader of the Forerunner military who is shown to be able to dominate one of humanities best soldiers, and let him just die at the end of one game.
With that in mind, I believe he has to be alive somewhere now simply because of the whole ominous Didact symbol in the finale. What’s the point in referencing him in such a way if he is dead?
Like Nihilus has said, he’s probably been moved to a location where he can be contained by other Forerunners who are known to have survived the Halo array activation. Personally I think most of the Forerunners who would have survived may have been Lifeworkers, as they have the most knowledge about reseeding life. And if that’s the case, they wouldn’t take too kindly to the Didact throwing the Librarians plans off course.

> So, he is likely alive, but awaiting judgement.
It would make sense of the Didact’s speech during the epilogue.
The Didact is dead, either by the Cheifs hand or by Juls(sending Requiem into the sun).
The Didact was pseudo-composed and is in some crazy limbo state, or he somehow physically made it into a digital realm.
We know the Slipspace portal that he fell into went to Requiem, and was storing information digitally, so I dont imagine he could have ended up anywhere else in the physical world.

> BUT THE EPILOGUE TAKES PLACE 100,000 YEARS AGO REMEMBER??!!
It makes sense to think that it takes place after the campaign too. “We squander eons in the darkness, while they seize our triumphs for their own.” is a good indicator.
