I jumped back into Halo 5 this past weekend for Warzone Assault, also to make that last push to 150 and I matched with a lot of players with the Achilles armor. I don’t remember this many people having it, maybe Spartan Company’s are just starting to get all the commendations done. I’m not sure, I just found it bizarre because I’ve been playing since Launch and it’s a big shift.
It’s been out for a long time so I wouldn’t find it unusual for a lot of people to have it now.
it sucks cause i joined a company for the achievement but didnt realize there was armor linked to company commendations…i didnt even know there were company commendations…now i go back to look at my company and its stagnant since 2016, so im pretty much out of luck

Anyway, it’s also probably because you played Warzone Assault. I don’t play it, but I’ve heard that playlist is populated by a lot of sweaty teams, so they’re more likely to have Achilles than the random solo players you see in modes such as heroic Warzone Firefight.
There is a lot of Spartan Companies pushing right now since they are trying to keep the player counts up! But I’ll be honest, the grind is hit or miss! Some weeks our company plays a lot, others it seems like nobody is playing. Needless to say, it’ll be a bit before we finish the helmet later this year.

It’s just a matter of age. It’s been out for awhile so the longer we go between when you “jump back into” the game, the more players should have it.

I think you were in my company. I just wanted the unlock, don’t care for the armor/helmet itself.

Try messaging the leader and ask to be a lieutenant. As a Letterman’s you can boot people that are not playing, and add players who do play.

Same issue here. We’re so close it should take two weeks, but so many people are not actively contributing, it will be more like 2-3 months before we get the helmet.

Kick out the inactive people and recruit. With people who can get it in two weeks, I bet it will be easy to recruit.

Yeah, we have been. Issue is the Marine kills. You get people who will go on a tear, then just get sick of it and only play warzone a bit. It’s a huge pain.

It is quite the grind, haha. You just kind of have to hope for the right Warzone map, run to the other base, pick the 3 marines off, hide, and wait only to do it again. Over and over and over and over again.

I gotta agree, the marine kills commendation is a bit ridiculous to complete. Would be nice if enemy marines spawned in firefight or something

My buddy and I started a Spartan Company in November 2015 and we only have 6 people, the two of us actively play (aside from a small break I just came back from) and have been playing since Launch but the others don’t contribute so we are still a ways away from getting Achilles’ 
I was thinking about disbanding my group, if you need some new people to help out we’re always interested in joining. We play quite a bit since we are still grinding to 152.

Many people have it and don’t wear it, maybe more people just decided to wear it. It takes just one guy in the party to get every one to put it back on.
And the theory that they are all unlocking it in the same time frame might be true as well.
I have it too but i never wear it, people that are together in a match with their spartan company or friends probably use it.

Your not out of luck, just quit the company your in and join one that’s active. I’ve had the Armor set for a long time now. Everyone stopped playing after we got the helmet so myself and others that still were actively playing started another company to help out late comers to H5 get Achilles. We almost have the helmet once again and have some openings right now. It’s grind city to get Achilles.
As the game ages the population naturally consists of people who invested more in the game.
