Halo 3 got updated textures with the new update and they don’t work correctly at all, the specular reflections are totally broken. Has 343 acknowledged this yet, because it’s really annoying not being able to use weapon skins if I want to have a basic feature working as intended.
I thought the warthog looked a little off. Have you filed a support ticket about this yet? Its probably the best method of letting 343 know about the bug.

I have not so I probably should. And it’s not just for me, they designed it wrong so everyone will have this issue.

I’m shocked that 343 has actually acknowledged this and plan to fix it. Thank goodness though because its really annoying.
You know the supposedly missing reflective lighting thing is very interesting. I think it’s a major issue with why halo infinite looks so bad.
for infinite its not just the overall lighting, but if you notice there’s very limited reflections on any of the elites, grunts and brutes armor. It makes all their armor look like a painted matte finish. I think this MCC update has caused the similar texture issue on halo 3. bungie made quite an effort in all the halos to make the armor look like metal that has a realistic and subtle shine to it. Even if on very old games like CE it was more of an illusion than in gameplay lighting.
I guess this is why I thought that 343 did a really bad job at emulating bungies art style. The textures simply don’t reflect light realistically. It’s really a bad attempt at classic style. I wonder why they did this with halo 3 in MCC?
