First off I don’t know if this is the best place to put this, In the recent blog update, about the dates when your maps and gametypes from the legacy Halo 3, Reach and 4 will be transferred over to the MCC version on the Xbox One and PC. What I don’t really understand and is kind of strange is why their is going to be only two days to do this, rather than instead just building in some kind of tool for the community to use say on Waypoint to transfer them to the MCC anytime you want (meaning upload the files from those games to this site here, then transfer them to the MCC)? Obviously I have no idea how complex this process is but the biggest problem I see here even though you have time to do this now, is what if somebody just found out about this after the transfer dates and now they missed out on it? That would be a big bummer for them to miss out right? I know the screenshots and clips they said will be investigated to be transferred to Waypoint, why not just transfer all files to Waypoint then transfer them to your fileshare on the MCC, rather than going through this odd transfer method? Does there have to be a rush on this, why not wait until MCC on PC is complete then do this?
I would think this would be a better solution rather than just setting up just two arbitrary dates.
