You guys put the Army ranger models in Halo CE Anniversary. CE-ODST had Marines exclusively. Army only appeared in Reach. It’s a small detail, yeah, but please fix it anyways.
DOn’t think its possible, with them using the Reach engine.
> DOn’t think its possible, with them using the Reach engine.
I think they can. They just need to swap skins. That’s easy to do in-engine.
There are UNSC Marines in Halo:Reach, during the Pillar of Autumn. Why not use these models instead of the UNSC Army models 343? And I certainly hope your listening to the people who have noticed this as well as myself.
Using UNSC Army weapons is also a canon problem, why not just HD the MA5B and M6D from normal CE that everyone loved?
Like I said, I certainly hope 343 is actually paying attention to these conflicts with the original CE, I don’t want the greatest Halo game ( In my opinion ) ruined because of laziness.
There are UNSC Marines in Reach during the Pillar of Autumn, I don’t understand why 343 doesn’t use those models.
I also noticed that the Elite Majors in CE:A have minor armor, unlike their updated armor in Reach.

Well, as you can see the pistol is 3 shots for a normal kill. So it’s not a M6G, it’s a M6D. For the AR, it has 60 rounds in it and maybe they just made the rifle more reach-y because it looked better.
I too have noticed this. I think it would be interesting if they added some Reach equipment into the mix, but the two assault rifles are totally different. And I also noticed they used troopers as well. I do hope that this is resolved by 343.

Majors =/= Officers

Then again, Marines and Army soldiers IRL have usual same combat wear.
The stats of the weapons are correct, their models are not. The pistol in CE:A is the M6G from Reach, you can tell by the more compact size and the scope underneath the barrel. The MA37 also has almost nothing in common with the MA5B, which is a Marine weapon. This is a serious canon issue that should be fixed, and it can easily. This conflicts were likely caused by laziness, which I greatly dislike.

Marines and Army troopers have drastically different BDU’s. You can see this in the Halo:Reach level Pillar of Autumn, or just compare images yourself.

In the POA level, they didn’t seem that different.

Bungie has already shown that they are the same rank simply renamed based on UNSC intel at the time of Reach.
Marines have Vacum sealed suits and visors, Army troopers do not. Their BDU’s have different configurations and armor pieces. It’s not the believed opinion that just because the similarities can fool a new person to Halo, its the fact that the two types of soldiers are different and that Army troopers on Reach with Army weapons would break canon and completely destroy Halo:Flood.

They are indeed the same rank and have the same roll but, you could say that Covenant Army have it like that. Majors for three games, had red armor so I’m thinking they just belong to the navy or the covenant special forces.
My point is, if UNSC Marine models are in Reach, why not use the correct models instead of being lazy and using the UNSC Army?
Yeah, LEGIONARE has a point.

And I agree, they also likely named them as Officers, to make the Limited Edition DLC armour have more appeal.

They are the correct models, they just look different because the game came out ten years ago and everything looks more detailed and modernized.
> My point is, if UNSC Marine models are in Reach, why not use the correct models instead of being lazy and using the UNSC Army?
I guess I can see your point there. I don’t know, it could be a design oversight or a “this setup looks cooler then the old marines.” Some things you have to separate from fiction and doing it for the cool factor.
