The Halo Universe is better than the Universe were living in.
Yes. A universe full of death war, homicide, betrayal, government kidnappings, rampaging space terrorists, ancient rings which sole purpose is to kill everything and a dog sized space faring zombie parasite which is also trying to kill everything. And did I mention the various aliens trying to wipe out the human race and nearly succeeded?
But the technology is great. I want to move there now.
The thing is, the Halo universe is a direct continuation of our very own world. Capitalism, colonialism, extremism, fascism, imperialism, and terrorism, among other topics, are things we deal with now and have been core pillars of Halo in the 26th century from the very start. Then you have to worry about the Forerunners, Precursors and Flood, and annoying little boys screaming at the top of their lungs and betraying you.
At least in our world we have red velvet treats and Netflix.
