The Unfotunate Downfall of Halo

In Halo Reach and Halo 4 there was a new level of gameplay that people (including myself ) we’re able master which Halo 5 (without knowing) unfortunately has eliminated.

There are many ways to do this technique of gameplay. Here’s mine:

10 sensitivity
Bumper Jumper
A Radar
And a whole lot of fun.

With the pace of the game being faster. You can now have momentum when you jump. So a lot of the time I’d use the enemy’s radar to their own disadvantage. By luring them around a corner or just in overall messy situations. Here’s the technique.

  1. Lure enemy around a corner/obstacle.
  2. Run toward them
  3. (With practice and perfect timing) Jump over the enemy’s head.
  4. Then turn around in mid-air (10 sensitivity)
  5. Perform an air assaination (Hold melee button)

This is all done in 1 jump and would be an instant thing once mastered. I sometimes did it to a few players within a matter of seconds. It was a whole new level to gameplay.

But now 343 have added some sort of dive which no one would use because it makes you a target as well as not being an instant kill (They can’t make it an instant kill because it would be OP). So basically that whole function is completely useless. Looks cool, but ineffective.

What looks cool is jumping over someone’s head and then slamming them to the ground and breaking their neck from behind #BEAST
And it doesn’t break any rules whatsoever. It was a skill I mastered (as did others) that I loved to perform as well as see being performed.

This new mid-air function is slow paced and will be considered a “Nooby” thing to use. You can be skilled with weapons, but in the previous 2 games, with practice, you were able to be skilled in ways that wasn’t common to most players.

So so unfortunate to see this technique being (I’d say taken out, but 343 probably didn’t even recognize this technique either) eliminated by a function that no one will use and is quite frankly, just annoying when accidentally activated.

343 make a function to take that dive out of your controls. Or better yet. Get rid of it completely.

Who else is with me?

This, it’s unfortunate to say, will most likely be my last Halo experience. 343 has put a lot of unnecessary things in Halo 5.

A little melodramatic with the title. No one will take you seiously.

everything can always improve everywhere!

I use ground pound all the time, if you know how/when to use it, it can actually be a very effective means of taking someone out or poping their shields for your teammates to finish off.
