I find that hallucinating that no person from 343 said herself (has to forget to put the lamp-torch on the helmet of the Master chief, it show to what extent they are incompetent and that they made the campaign… The worst in all this it is because no fan notices it and continues to defend, them that does not seem to disturb you how we can forget his…
Good luck with this, I’m out.
Sorry, I’m French
I find it amazing that no one in 343 to say (have to forget to put the lamp on the helmet of Master Chief, it shows how they are incompetent. Worst of all is that no fan does notice and continues to defend its does not seem to bother you …

This does not disturb any of you? How could you forget this?”
Answer: People have noticed and voiced their questions to 343. I also don’t see the absence of the flashlight as a show of incompetence.
Why then shown on the helmet? Why shown in the first trailer for Halo 4 then? Are you blind?
> Why then shown on the helmet? Why shown in the first trailer for Halo 4 then? Are you blind?
Yes, I am blind. I cannot see what I am typing…
And the exact reason for the flashlight exactly? The flashlight wasn’t needed very often in Halo 3, and the general lighting of Requiem was bright, so no need there.
I can understand a question regarding its absence, but spamming the forums and making absurd accusations towards 343 is a bit far.
It’s not absent, it’s just we never needed it so they took out the option to have it.
I think that the lack of a flashlight in the game is mirroring a lack of dark/night-time missions.
This could be a possible area of improvement for 343’s campaigns, as dark/night-time missions definitely have their place in Halo.
I believe that this might be what you are indirectly hinting at, without even realising it of course.

Yes because the campaign(countryside) had a decoration TRON I hope that there will be a real night, Snows, and rain (to change).

It would be more practical to use night vision than a flashlight. Enemies tend to see a bring light emitting from a flashlight rather than a vision enhancing optic in a helmet.

I agree.
I do love a lot of the locations and designs in Halo 4, though it does lack snow themed missions and dark missions.
I do love my snow.
Why would it be needed when Promethean Vision does its job better?
Honestly I don’t see why Spartan helmet’s don’t have visor mode from ODST. A flashlight that somehow runs out of power is pretty terrible.
Was the flashlight even in reach?
It wasn’t really needed in 3.
Chief only had 1 dark level in halo 2, and one level with a dark hallway just to teach you about the flashlight. The Arbiter oddly enough had most the dark levels.

Replaced by a much more practical night vision
He had it. He just needs a new light bulb for it.

Two problems with this.
-
Promethean Vision allows you to see through walls, which is different than providing a source of light to help illuminate dark places.
-
It would be highly irritating to continuously have to turn Promethean Vision on every few seconds.

- It gives everything an even glow, making it a good flashlight.
- People have been doing this ever since H4 came out.

Thank you Thank you Thank you

It was in halo 1, halo 2, and halo 3 there why not in halo 4?
Why then shown on the helmet? Why shown in the first trailer for Halo 4 then?

I personally don’t like the way Promethean Vision makes the sorroundings look. It makes everything look blue and I much prefer that a flashlight allows the individual colours and textures of the sorroundings to remain intact.
-
I’m not one of those people. It could be that every Halo player except me was doing that, but I would still personally find it irritating.
It is much more conveniant to put a flashlight on once and leave it on (until it runs out quite a while later) than it is to be constantly turning Promethean Vision on. I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be to put it on, have a few seconds where I can see where I’m going, then have to stop moving and wait for it to recharge only moments later.
Nah I think I’d rather stick with a flashlight or night vision thanks.
